The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Tuesday, September 22 reveals Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will disappoint Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor).
Also coming up, Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and Dr. Stephanie Simmons (Vivica A. Fox) will talk about her son finding out. Plus, after a chat with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) won’t be sure if she can trust Matt Clark (Roger Howarth). And Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) will get an alarming notification.
Y&R spoilers tease Nate and Stephanie will flirt at the GCAC. He’ll tell her there’s a lounge downstairs with a dance floor. “Oooh, don’t tempt me,” she’ll joke. They’ll sit down for a meal instead and Stephanie will be distracted. “What’s goin’ on?” Nate will ask. “I feel like I know you enough to know when you’re being weird.”

But Stephanie will say she doesn’t know how to tell her son that she lied to him about them. Nate will ask if she feels she has to tell Holden Novak (Nathan Owen) things have progressed. She’ll ask if they’re dating and he’ll say he’d call it that. Stephanie will say if things continue between them, she’ll have to find a way to tell her son.
However, instead of actually showing Stephanie telling Holden about them, she and Nate will rehearse it. Afterwards, Nate will say maybe he should talk to him. Then they’ll rehearse that too. After all that, Stephanie will decide to put it off until Holden returns from London.
At the tack house, Victoria will continue her flirty texting with Kyle. Claire will walk in and see her mom grinning at her phone. “What’s got you in such a good mood?” she’ll ask. Claire will wonder what made her smile. “It’s just a silly meme,” Victoria will reply. Claire will ask to see it but her mom will say it’s an inside joke.
Then she’ll get a notification on her phone and be rattled by it. “She’s back, Aunt Jordan strikes again,” Claire will tell Victoria. She’ll explain she had an alert for Jordan’s (Colleen Zenk) birthday. Victoria will ask what Jordan did for Claire’s birthday. She’ll say her aunt would throw her a party. But one year, a girl held a party on the same day.
With Jordan’s coaxing, she ended up getting the girl expelled from school. Victoria will tell Claire she needs cheering up and wants to take her to lunch. She’ll get a text from Kyle and say she had other lunch plans and can cancel them. “You don’t have to babysit me,” Claire will reply. But Victoria will cancel with Kyle.
At Society, Matt will order a drink, telling himself he’s not stalling. “A man’s gotta do what a man’s gotta do,” he’ll say. “Gotta go.” Then viewers will have to sit through a flashback montage of Matt and Phyllis. He’ll get a text from Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk). “Where are you? Time to hit the road.” So he’ll reply saying he needs a minute. “Don’t do anything crazy.”

Meanwhile, Phyllis will walk into Crimson Lights and spot Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow). He’ll ask if she was able to convince Matt to stay in town. “Leave me alone,” Phyllis will reply. She’ll change the subject and ask Nick if he’s ready to be home. “Where’s Matt?” he’ll say.
Phyllis will tell Nick he won, it’s over, Matt’s out of town. “I want him really gone,” he’ll tell her. “I know you never saw the worst version of Matt but I promise you, he exists.” Nick will say sometimes he thinks she chooses people she believes she can play them. But it gets her in over her head.
“You don’t need to save me from this situation,” Phyllis will reply. Nick will say she’s right, she doesn’t need a hero, nobody does. He’ll tell Phyllis he sees her for who she is and ask her not to shut the door on him. “I don’t like seeing you in pain and I will never allow anyone to hurt you.”
Finally, Phyllis will say when the whole town ostracized her, Matt made her feel special. Then Matt will call her. “It’s Matt isn’t it?” Nick will ask. “Don’t take that call.” But of course she will. However, when he says he wants to see her, Phyllis won’t trust him. “What kind of game are you playing?” she’ll ask.
