The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Thursday, September 17 reveals Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) will show up at Crimson Lights with big news.
Also coming up, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will leave rehab. Plus Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Diane Abbott (Susan Walters) will receive a gift from Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk). And Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will be furious.
Y&R spoilers tease Phyllis will ask a maid to let her into Matt’s room. She’ll see he’s taken all his things and left. “That psycho, she seduced you to her side, didn’t she?” Phyllis will say to herself. So she’ll call him and leave a message.
“How could you do this to me again?” she’ll ask. “You just disappeared without a word.” Then she’ll spot an envelope withe her name on it. Phyllis will read it and Matt will say he’s leaving and is going to convince Patty to leave town with him. “Patty and I, we deserve each other.”
Y&R Daily Scoop – Phyllis Wants To Team Up With Jack And Diane
At the Abbott estate, Jack will be frustrated as he and Diane return home. Their plan for Patty to show up at the hospital didn’t work. They’ll head into the dining room and Diane will notice a gift box, with a card on top, on the table. Diane will tell Jack not to touch it, there could be a bomb inside.
So, he’ll hand it to security to check the box. But he’ll have the envelope in his hand and will read it to his wife. “I thought of visiting you in the hospital but then I realized the risk,” he’ll say. Patty will add a new friend convinced her to leave town. “I have decided to leave you be and let you live your life, but no one ever really knows what the future holds.” Diane will ask if it’s a trap.
Then someone will furiously knock on the door and it’ll be Phyllis. Jack will ask what she’s doing there. “We have a big problem,” she’ll say and ask if Patty has tried to contact them. “A friend of mine has been caught up in her insanity.” Jack and Diane will realize she’s talking about Matt.
“So you want us to help you to help Matt Clark?” Diane will ask. And Phyllis will say no she wants to stop Patty from hurting anyone ever again. Jack will tell her Patty sent him a gift and a goodbye letter. But they have no idea what she’s up to. Phyllis will head out and they’ll open the gift. Mr. Kitty will be inside. “Something to remember me by,” an attached card will say. “Take good care of him.”
Meanwhile, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will get ready for her first day at Vibrante. Nick will walk in and she and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will embrace him. He’ll say he heard them talking. He understands she’s returning to work and he wants to as well.
Young And The Restless Scoop – Victoria Tells Nick They Will Move Slowly
But before Victor gets a chance to comment, he’ll get a call and say he has to take it. Nick will tell Nikki he saw the look on his dad’s face and on hers. “You’re afraid.” Nikki will say she’s worried that he left too soon. Nick will tell her his team at the rehab center believe he’s ready to be out in the world.
Victor will return and Nick will ask what he’s thinking about him going back to work. “I don’t know if that’s the right thing to do.” But it’ll be up to his sister. So Nick will arrive at the tack house and tell Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will he needs to go back to work. “This is your call.” After he makes his pitch, Victoria will say fine, but they’re going to move slow.
Then Nick will surprise Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) at Crimson Lights. Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will walk in and won’t be thrilled to see he left rehab. But Nick will say his team cleared him. Once Nick explains, Adam will tell his brother he’s proud of him. He’ll head out and Nick will thank Sharon for all her support.
Finally, Matt will walk into the coffee shop. “Where have you been?” Nick will ask. Matt will say he’s there with good news. “I’m leaving town,” he’ll add. “This time I mean it, you don’t need to worry, or think about me, ever again.” Then Phyllis will walk in and she’ll be angry.
