The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Friday, July 24 reveals Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will delay telling Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) about selling Newman Media.
Also coming up, Billy will think Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) is keeping a secret about Chancellor. Plus, Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) will begin to regret an offer. And Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) will try to get through to Devon Winters (Bryton James).
Y&R spoilers tease Sally will talk to Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) on the phone. She’ll ask her friend if she’s told Billy about selling Newman Media to Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) yet. Sally will say she still has time, since he’s in London with his mom.
But then Billy will walk in the door and tell her he fought with Jill during the entire flight and decided to come home. He’ll add she blurted out that Cane should be the only one to deal with the complexities of Chancellor. “There’s something more there and Jill is terrified I’m going to figure out what it is.”
Y&R Daily Scoop – Abby Tells Her Devon’s Mood Swings Returned
Sally will look at him like he’s crazy but Billy will say he knows there’s something there. “I think you found another way to fixate on Chancellor,” Sally will reply. Not surprisingly, Billy won’t want to give up on what the secret could be.
Talk will turn to Spectra Charles and Billy will ask how that’s going. Sally will make a face. She’ll say the company is in great shape. She will admit she has news but wants to tell him later. Billy will head out to meet Cane and Audra will show up. She’ll be shocked to learn that Sally hasn’t told Billy about Newman Media yet.
At the Chancellor Park Café, Devon will see Cane sitting on the patio and try to walk by him. But Cane will say hello. So, Devon will put him on blast for his hiring decisions. “When’s this clown show gonna end?” he’ll ask. Then he’ll ask if he’s trying to suck up to Jill or impress Lily Winters (Christel Khalil).
Cane will tell him it’s Lily’s company, not his. Devon will say he sees him, Billy and Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) clearly. “You are a con artist, Billy’s obsessed with himself and Holden’s never been anything but a glorified gofer,” he’ll add. “So the three of you at Chancellor together, you’re gonna bury the company.”
However, Cane will push back and say Devon is only looking for another reason to unload on him. “What would I gain by destroying Chancellor?” he’ll ask. Devon will say everything he touches get ruined. So Cane will tell him Lily’s worried about him and he needs to figure it out. He’ll ask if it’s hard to deal with all that rage and Devon will storm off.
Meanwhile, Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) will catch up with her mom at Society. She’ll tell Ashley that Devon is shutting her out. After he talked to Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) he was fine for a few days but then the mood swings returned.
Young And The Restless Scoop – Cane Tells Billy He Sounds Paranoid
“He’s withdrawn and depressed,” Abby will add. “This is not like Devon.” Ashley will ask if she can talk to him herself, suggesting he may open up to her. Abby will be afraid it could make things worse but she’ll eventually relent. Devon will show up and Abby will say she has to deal with a delivery.
Ashley will apologize for not being there for them after what they went through and she’ll ask how he’s been. Devon will say it was a nightmare while his son was gone, but he’s back and doing great. Ashley will say Abby’s worried about him and Devon will say he’s fine.
“I know with every fiber of my being that trauma changes you,” she’ll reply. She’ll suggest to Devon that he lean on Abby. “Can’t you find some way of opening up and letting her be there for you?” Devon will say he’ll think about it.
Finally, Billy will show up at the café and Cane will tell him all about his encounter with Devon. But Billy will remain fixated. He’ll say Jill wants to keep him far away from Chancellor because there’s something hidden there. So, he wants to sign the contract so he can find out what it is.
“What are you doing Billy?” Cane will reply. And Billy will ask if he knows what Jill’s hiding and if he’s known all along. Cane will take offense and tell him he sounds paranoid. But, like a dog with a bone, Billy will insist that Jill is hiding something and it’s big.
