The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Monday, May 12 reveals Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will refuse to open up to Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks).
Also coming up, Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) will put the brakes on her relationship with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). Plus, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will try to pressure Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei). And Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will tell Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) how he hopes to bring down Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).
Y&R spoilers tease Phyllis will tell Daniel she wants to move on from Abbott Communications. She’ll say Billy’s going down and add that he replaced her with his girlfriend. “I give her a week and when that happens, Billy is going to come to me, begging me to take this job back.”

So, Daniel will say he’s a little nervous about what she might have planned next. She’ll say they both need a new direction. “Let’s find that together. We can create an empire.” But Daniel will tell her they both have a lot of work they need to do on themselves first.
At Society, Billy will tell Sally he just had a run-in with Victor who vowed to use Newman Media against him. Sally will say she’s sure Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) right there with him. “Leading the charge,” Billy will reply.
Sally will say they should ignore them, so any attack will be meaningless. But Billy will tell her Victor offered not to start a war if he tells him everything about Dumas’ intentions toward Chancellor. Sally will ask if he’s going to drop the whole Dumas thing and getting Chancellor back.
“At this point, the only thing Chancellor represents is a means to take Victor down,” he’ll reply. “Watching Victor go down in flames, that’s worth the risk for me, it’s time Victor gets what he deserves.” But what they won’t realize is that Phyllis is standing beside the wall, eavesdropping.
Meanwhile, Claire will tell Kyle if they try to convince Victor together, he’ll realize how committed they are. Kyle will say he doubts there’s anything they can do to show him their love is real. Of course, Claire will continue belaboring the idea that Victor could one day accept them.
“Why are you so dead set on this, why is Victor’s opinion so important to you?” Kyle will ask. She’ll say when Jordan (Colleen Zenk) was filling her with hate towards the Newmans, she was secretly in awe of Victor. Then Claire will say her grandmother suggested they should focus on slowing things down and Kyle’s face will drop.

Claire will say if they jump into buying Adam’s apartment it would make things worse with Victor. “Sometimes, it feels like there are three people in this relationship,” Kyle will reply. But Claire will tell him it’s just for now, until they find a way to change her grandfather’s mind.
At the lookout, Tessa will find Mariah sitting by herself on a bench, crying. “How much longer are we gonna do this?” she’ll ask her wife. “When are you gonna let me in and tell me what’s wrong?” Mariah will lie and say nothing is wrong. Tessa will remind her they used to share everything, no secrets, but now she can’t even look at her.
She’ll ask Mariah if it’s because she wanted her to trust Ian Ward (Ray Wise). “It’s not that,” she’ll reply. “But it is about Ian.” Mariah will say that seeing Ian brought back everything he’d done to her. She’ll point out what he did to her mom and that he murdered Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom).
Tessa will say she’s sure that’s what the problem is, her sharing information about their lives with Ian. She hopes Mariah will forgive her someday and will suggest they get counseling. “It’s not you who needs to be forgiven,” Mariah will reply.
So, Tessa will beg her wife to tell her what she needs to be forgiven for. “What is it Mariah?” she’ll ask. “You know you can tell me anything, I am ready to listen.” But instead of an admission, or even something to move this storyline along, Mariah will just say she’s sorry and take off.
Finally, Daniel will show up and tell Tessa maybe he should have taken up the harmonica, instead of the guitar. “We could have pulled them out right here, since we’re both feeling so bluesy.” He’ll smile but get no response from Tessa. “Are you okay?” he’ll ask. Tessa will shake her head no and she’ll lean on Daniel, as he puts his arm around her shoulder.
