The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Friday, May 2 reveals Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will tell Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) she did something terrible.
Also coming up, Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) will head to Milan, to search for replacements for Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope).
Plus, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will give Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) their blessing. And Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will rankle Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks).
Y&R spoilers tease Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) won’t like the changes Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) has made and wishes she’d left the Abbott estate the way it was. “It just doesn’t feel like the home I knew,” he’ll admit.
Y&R Daily Scoop – Chelsea Tells Adam She’s Taking The Position
At the ranch, Adam will tell Victor he has news. But he’ll be interrupted, when Nick walks in the door. Adam will tell them both he’s offered the COO position at Newman Media to Chelsea. However, Nick won’t seem happy.
“Is this move for Chelsea, or is it for you?” he’ll ask Adam. But he’ll say it wasn’t planned, the idea just came to him. “Chelsea knows a good opportunity when she sees it,” Victor will say. “If you want my approval, you have it.” And Nick will say he supports it too.
At Society, Summer will get a phone call and Chelsea will finally admit the job offer was from Adam. “That’s a very Adam move,” Sally will say. Then she’ll admit Billy offered her a position at his company. “That’s a very Billy move,” Chelsea will reply.
Summer will return to their table and she’ll say she just found out Billy fired her mom. “Is Billy wanting you to take her place?” she’ll ask Sally. When she admits it, Summer will remind her she lobbied hard to get her job at Marchetti.
“You told me fashion was your life, was that a lie?” Sally will say she’s loved every second of the job. Summer will ask why they’re willing to throw away their careers because their boyfriends offered them a job. But if that’s what they really want, she’ll support them.
Then Sally will meet up with Billy and tell him she’s in. As for Chelsea, she’ll tell Adam she’s taking the job at Newman Media. And she’ll fill him in that Sally’s going to work for Billy, so they’ll be in direct competition with their exes.
At Crimson Lights, Mariah will get a call from Tessa but she’ll ignore it. Sharon will walk in and notice something’s off with her immediately. So, she’ll ask what’s wrong. “Thank God you’re home mom,” she’ll reply. Sharon will talk about her trip to London and then she’ll ask Mariah why she seems so sad.
Young And The Restless Scoop – Summer Asks Kyle To Wait For Her Return
“Something happened on my trip,” she’ll admit. “I did something so horrible.” Sharon will ask what happened. But she’ll say she can’t tell her. She’ll go on to talk about Ian Ward (Ray Wise) and the part of her that’s broken thinks there must be something very wrong if such a horrible man wanted to be with her.
“That part took me to a very dark place.” So, she had a few drinks to numb the pain and when it didn’t work, she had a few more. And when Sharon suggests she talk to Tessa, Mariah will say the guilt she’s carrying is killing her, she can’t look at Tessa without falling apart. “I cannot tell Tessa, my wife can never find out what I’ve done.”
Speaking of Tessa, Phyllis will walk in and tell her she needs her help. But Tessa will say she’s not going to help her spy on Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei). Phyllis will say that’s not what she’s asking. “I think I know what’s going on here, you don’t like me, do you?” Phyllis will reply. “You’re Team Sharon.”
Phyllis will add that she and Sharon have bonded. So, she’ll ask her to help her save her son’s life. Tessa will tell her she’s teaching Daniel how to play the guitar and Phyllis will make a face. They’ll argue and Phyllis will get a text from Summer and leave. Phyllis and Nick will both show up at Society and Summer will tell them she’s flying to Milan, to find replacements for both Sally and Chelsea.
Finally, Summer will arrive at the Abbott estate. She’ll tell Diane she loves the changes. Then Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Harrison Locke (Redding Munsell) will greet her and she’ll say she has to fly to Milan tonight.
Harrison will head upstairs and Kyle will tell her he and Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) are moving in together. Summer will ask if he can wait to tell Harrison until she gets back. But considering Allison Lanier is leaving Y&R, when will Summer return?
