The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Tuesday, June 23 reveals Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will keep her dire diagnosis from Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).
Also coming up, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will update Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) on Dr. Laurence Markham’s (Jere Burns) whereabouts. And Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will spill the beans to Claire Newman (Hayley Erin).
Y&R spoilers tease Claire will run into her mom in the GCAC lobby. She’ll say she just had brunch with Victor. She invited Nikki too and thinks her matchmaking attempts may have made things worse, she blabbed about Nikki’s headaches and blurred vision. Victoria will tell her daughter not to worry. She wants to tell Victor, especially now.
Y&R Daily Scoop – Kyle Tells Jack About Dr. Markham’s Fortress
Claire will be alarmed and ask what she knows. “Everything that I’ve been afraid of is coming true, your grandmother’s diagnosis is worse than you’ve ever imagined,” she’ll reply. Victoria will add Nikki’s got a tumor on her optic nerve. Because of its location, there’s a huge risk of blindness.
Upstairs, Nikki will answer her door and Victor will be standing there. He’ll tell her he just had brunch with Claire, who tried to set them up. “I came by to talk about your headaches,” he’ll add, saying he saw the episode she had yesterday. Nikki will lie and say she’s fine, it’s all stress induced.
However, when she brings up Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) living on the ranch, they’ll start arguing. Victor will say as far as he’s concerned, her headaches are self induced. Nikki will be furious and tell him to get out. Then she’ll give him back her wedding rings and he’ll take them.
Victor will head downstairs and run into Victoria and Claire. “Why do I have the feeling the two of you are keeping something from me, about your mother’s health?” he’ll ask them. When they won’t give him any answers, Victor will keep pressing.
As for Nikki, Nate will arrive at her room. He’ll say he looked at the MRI and agrees with the neurologist’s assessment. Nate will say if surgery’s her strongest option, putting together the right team will be key. “Can you do it?” Nikki will ask Nate. He’ll remind her he can’t operate anymore but he’s willing to help her find an excellent surgeon.
Meanwhile, Kyle will tell Jack he followed Dr. Markham, who lives in a place deep in the woods. It’s on the outskirts of town, near Powers Lake. Jack will ask if it’s possible Diane’s being held there. Kyle will say he seriously hopes not. “It’s a fortress, an isolated gated estate,” he’ll add. “There’s a big building, set back from the road, Dr. Markham’s private home.”
Young And The Restless Scoop – Maybe It’s Time For Diane To Move On
Jack will say it all sounds very suspicious. “Every time I asked Markham to give me Diane’s doctor’s name he stonewalled me.” Kyle will ask if he really thinks the doctor is keeping his mom in his home. “We’ve gotta tread lightly,” Jack will advise. If Markham and Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) find out they’re onto them they’ll move Diane somewhere else.
Then he’ll tell a shocked Kyle Patty wants him to divorce Diane and marry her. But right now everything hinges on them finding Diane. “We have to search Markham’s residence,” Jack will add. Kyle will suggest they call Burrow (Matt Cohen). But when Jack balks, Kyle will say maybe he will break in himself.
Finally, Dr. Markham and Diane will begin their session. He’ll say he wants to begin by getting to the heart of the matter, when she found her husband in bed with another woman. But Diane won’t want to talk about it. So, he’ll change the subject to her relationship with Jack before the infidelity.
She’ll say it wasn’t perfect, but it was the happiest she’s ever been. Dr. Markham will wonder if what they had was all in her head. And he’ll bring up the night in the stateroom again. So Diane will tell him how she found out Jack was on a yacht with Patty. Once on board she just wanted to find him and take him home.
But instead, she opened the door and he was in bed with her. Dr. Markham will ask how she felt and she’ll say she was filled with rage and pain over what happened and moved out. Dr. Markham will ask if her husband was trying to send her a message.
Diane will be shocked but he’ll say his focus is on her and not Jack. She’ll admit in her darkest moments she was afraid he’d find himself drawn to somebody else. Diane will say she also hated herself for being so unwilling to forgive him. “Maybe the fact that you can’t forgive him is a sign, to move on,” Dr. Markham will reply.
