The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Thursday, August 13 reveals Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) may have found something that could change everything.
Also coming up, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will worry about their son. Plus, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will be skeptical. And an emotional Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) will return after dropping off Nick at rehab.
Y&R spoilers tease Jack will meet Kyle at the park cafe. He’ll say he has good news, Nick is back in rehab. Jack will ask how he knows and Kyle will say he checked in with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle). “Why am I not surprised?” his father will reply. Even though he wants revenge on Victor, he showed real compassion with Victoria. “You are a far better man than he will ever be.”

Then Billy will show up and tell his brother he discovered something unbelievable, after his mother let something slip. “There is a secret deep inside Chancellor Industries that she does not want me to know.” Jack will ask if Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) told him what it was or implied it.
Billy will say he found it himself and explain there was a point, early on, where Chancellor almost went under. But somebody stepped in and saved it. “This was a secret that was buried deep,” Billy will say. “The generous soul who saved Chancellor Industries is none other than the late, great John Abbott.”
Jack will ask if he’s sure. “This was a business deal, and I have proof.” He’ll say he found it in a box with their father’s signature. There was also a provision. “Philip and Chancellor Industries had 20 years to pay off the debt. If they don’t then John Abbott, or his heirs, own Chancellor outright.” But Philip Chancellor (Donnelly Rhodes) died in 1975.
Billy will add the only person who seemed to know about this deal was Jill. “This is a decades-long agreement,” Jack will point out. But Billy will say there’s one piece of info that gives them the full picture. He’ll say there’s no indication the debt was paid off. “If this is all true, that means we own Chancellor Industries, the whole thing.”
At the ranch, Victor and Nikki will return, cutting their trip short because of Nick. Victoria will tell them he called Sharon from a motel and has returned to rehab. Nikki will say if he was at a motel, he was using again. “He’s in treatment now, that’s a very good sign,” Victoria will reply.
Meanwhile, Sharon will walk into Crimson Lights and she’ll be highly emotional when she meets with Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes). She’ll say she took Nick to his treatment center. Mariah will ask how he’s doing. “I don’t think he even knows,” she’ll reply.
Young And The Restless Scoop – Sharon Found A Broken Nick At Motel
Sharon will say she walked into the motel room and he was broken and they’ll show her flashing back to the moment. “There was nothing I could do,” she’ll tell Mariah. Sharon will add Nick didn’t get high on his own, he mentioned a woman in the room next door. “And I think things got pretty dark for both of them.”
Then Sharon will arrive at the ranch and tell Nick’s family she saw shock and worry in his face. “Nicholas has always been there for us over the years, this is different.” Victoria will tell Sharon her brother doesn’t need her to analyze him. “He needs us to support him.” Nikki will tell her daughter her loyalty to Nick is commendable. “But only he can help himself get clean.”
Finally, Nick will tell those gathered at the rehab facility that he failed again. “All I want to do is get up and run out of here, I’m starting to think it’s too late for me.” He’ll admit that after a family event he got his usual purchase and checked into a motel room.
He had a dream and it set him straight, so he flushed the drugs. But it didn’t last long and he did drugs with the woman in the room next to him. “The woman almost died, she OD’d, I was able to get her breathing again.” Nick will admit he didn’t even know her last name.
“It sounds like you saved her life,” Marie Kirkland (Jade Harlow) will say, standing beside him. Then she’ll tell the story of what happened the evening before. After everyone else leaves, Marie will thank Nick for saving her life. “How bad did I freak you out last night?” she’ll ask. And Nick will say he’s been on her side before. “Now I got the feeling of watching it.”
