The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Tuesday, April 29 reveals Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will give Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) her walking papers.
Also coming up, Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) will worry about Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes). Plus, Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) will encourage Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) to take a chance. And Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) will defend his mother.
Y&R spoilers tease Daniel will approach Tessa, who will ask how he’s feeling. There’ll be more riveting conversation about him practicing his guitar chords. Tessa will say she’d like him to think of her as his guitar teacher and his best friend.
Y&R Daily Scoop – Tessa Senses Something Is Off With Mariah
So, he’ll tell her he still feels miserable. They’ll continue their boring discussion about guitar lessons. Tessa will say anytime he feels bad, she’ll be there for him. “Stop beating yourself up, think of every day as a step forward.”
After Daniel leaves, Mariah will arrive. They’ll talk about her business trip and then Tessa will ask her if something’s wrong. “I just missed you so much,” she’ll reply. However, Tessa will still sense something is off.
Meanwhile, Sally and Audra will see each other while they’re both out for a run. Sally will make a joke about her and Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) and Audra will take offence. She’ll apologize but say it seems like there was more going on between them.
“The way that Holden looked at you yesterday was definitely not a man you had a casual fling with.” However, Audra will say she’s no longer interested in Holden and wants to drop the subject. Audra will say she’d rather talk about Billy and Phyllis.
So, then Sally will reiterate the argument she witnessed between them. She’ll also share that Billy offered her Phyllis’ position. She turned him down though, because she loves fashion and working at Marchetti. “Think about the power,” Audra will reply. “The perks – how can you say no?”
But Sally will say she really enjoys her job. However, Audra will continue to push her to work with Billy at Abbott Communications. “Don’t forget the biggest perk,” she’ll add. “With you as Billy’s right hand, Phyllis will be gone, for good.”
At the GCAC restaurant, Phyllis and Billy will have their umpteenth conversation about Daniel. Phyllis will say she can still convince him to join their company. But he’ll remind her that he already said if she doesn’t give up on this, they’ll have to go their separate ways.
Young And The Restless Scoop – Sally’s Been Doing Some Soul Searching
Phyllis will say she knows what’s best for her own son. Then Billy will speak for Y&R’s entire audience. “I’m sick and tired of this conversation,” he’ll say. But like a dog with a bone, Phyllis will keep it up. Billy will tell her Daniel needs freedom to make his own choices. “Even with your job on the line, you won’t give this up,” he’ll add. “I’m sorry, you’re out.”
Phyllis will say he can’t fire her over one little disagreement. She’ll beg him not to fire her and will remind him he saved her life. But Billy won’t relent. “You need to take some time,” he’ll reply, as he leaves. “We can revisit this partnership down the road.”
So, Phyllis will call Daniel, who will say he’s not coming to meet her for breakfast. He’ll tell her to focus on Abbott Communications and Phyllis will say she just got fired. Then Daniel will head to the GCAC, looking for Billy. And he’ll find him.
“Billy, what’s wrong with you man?” he’ll ask. “Why would you fire my mother because of me?” Billy will tell him to calm down. Daniel will ask why he’d fire Phyllis, after everything she’s been through. “She shouldn’t be punished for me.” But Billy will say she didn’t give him a choice.
“Don’t do this, just give her another chance,” Daniel will reply. “I’m sorry, but my decision is final,” Billy will tell Daniel. As he heads heads for the exit, Billy will bump into Sally. She’ll tell him she’s been doing some soul searching. He’ll ask her about what. “You, me and Abbott Communications,” she’ll reply.
Finally, a devastated Phyllis will head to the park. She’ll sit down on a bench, sobbing and hyperventilating. She’ll gasp as she puts her hand on her chest. But will Phyllis be okay?
