The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Monday, August 24 reveals Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) won’t mince words with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman).
Also coming up, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will visit Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow). Plus, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will put Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) on the spot. And Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will have good news for Dr. Stephanie Simmons (Vivica A. Fox).
Y&R spoilers tease Nikki will drop by Jack’s office. He’ll tell her considering she’s reconciled with Victor he thinks there’d be more peace in her marriage if she just steered clear of him. “You think we should end our friendship?” Nikki will ask. Jack will say no, he’s just trying to give her space. But Nikki will say she doesn’t want that. He’s always had her back and she wants him to help her save Nick.

“I’ll do whatever I can to help him but it has to be his choice,” Jack will reply. He’ll add that Victor won’t like it. Then she’ll get a call from Nick, asking if she can come see him. “I’ll be right there,” Nikki will reply. She’ll head to the rehab clinic and Jack will show up at the ranch. He’ll tell Victor that Nikki wants him to be Nick’s sponsor.
“That is a terrible idea,” Victor will reply. “It is your weakness that nearly killed her, your night of debauchery. I shall never forget or ever forgive.” But Jack will tell him he understands what Nick is suffering on a cellular level and he wants to help him. “Kindly see yourself out,” Victor will reply.
At the rehab clinic, Marie Kirkland (Jade Harlow) will run into Nick. She’ll admit she came home to trouble. Her husband started berating her and she found out she lost her job. So she took a pill. But she remembered something Nick said in a meeting and it helped her stop at one.
“Does that mean you checked yourself into this place?” he’ll ask and she’ll say yes. “I’ve been thinking a lot about you, after everything that happened the other night,” she’ll say. “I’ve been thinking about you too,” Nick will reply. She’ll apologize for leaving the pills in his room but Nick will say he’s not letting her take the hit on that. “You are choosing to be here to get better,” he’ll add.
After Marie leaves the room, Nikki will arrive. She’ll embrace her son and ask how he’s doing. “I know how hard this is,” Nikki will say. “I’m not gonna let you down,” he’ll reply. But she’ll say it’s not about her, it’s about him. Nikki will add they all love him and stand with him.
At Crimson Lights, Holden will tell his mom he’s been offered a chance to climb up the corporate ladder at Chancellor. “Lily didn’t make the offer and neither did Cane,” he’ll say. “Billy Abbott did.” Then he’ll tell her he’s stuck in the middle of a corporate war.

Stephanie will ask if he’d go against his sister. Holden will tell her working with Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) hasn’t exactly been inspiring. “On the other hand, I don’t want to let Lily down.” Stephanie will say she’d hate to see him jeopardize his relationship with his family. So she’ll encourage him to reach out to his sister and be honest with her.
Meanwhile, Lily will bring Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) up to speed on what’s going on with Chancellor. She’ll tell her cousin she’s going to fight it. But he’ll ask why she’s so willing to do that, considering the potential collateral damage. Lily will say her mind’s made up.
Then Nate will head out to meet Stephanie. He’ll tell her he spoke with Dr. Price and he’s scheduled the surgery. Stephanie will say she hopes he’ll consider coming back to Memorial. “There’s no place I’d rather be,” Nate will say. “It’s home.”
Finally, Holden will arrive at Lily’s door. She’ll ask if he’s ready to join the fight with her. Holden will tell her about Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) offer and Lily will say he’ll stab him in the back. “You know he would be a terrible mentor right?” He’ll say it’s a big decision. “You have to pick a side,” Lily will reply. “Are you going to look out for your family, or yourself?”
Holden will say Billy said the same thing, to pick a side. “This takeover is never gonna happen,” Lily will tell him. “Katherine was Devon’s grandmother, so I’m going to do whatever it takes to fight for her legacy.” She’ll add that nothing is more important than family. Holden will say it feels good to hear her say that. “I’m in, I’ve got your back, no matter what.”
