Young And The Restless Scoop July 8: Patty Prepares To Finish Off Jack – Michael Defends Diane To Christine – Jill And Billy Argue

The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Wednesday, July 8 reveals Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) will sneak into Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) hospital room.

Also coming up, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will defend his father’s decision to Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters). Plus, Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) will plead with Christine Romalotti (Lauralee Bell). And Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will argue with Jill Abbott (Lauren Koslow).

Y&R spoilers tease Billy will be surprised to see his mother at the Chancellor Park Cafe. Jill will say Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) told her Jack was in the hospital. “What happened?” Sally will ask. Billy will say Patty stabbed Jack and he lost a lot of blood. He’ll add he blames Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) for having her released.

Jill will say she’s not going to defend Victor. Billy will quip only when it comes to Chancellor. Then he’ll ask what they were talking about before he arrived. “We were talking about you,” Jill will reply. So she’ll ask him what his plans are at Spectra Charles. Billy will tell her he doesn’t have any plans.

Sally will say she told his mom about Cane Ashby’s (Billy Flynn) offer. Billy will admit it seemed genuine. But Jill will say if he can’t work under Sally and Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver), how is he going to work under Cane. Not surprisingly, they’ll start arguing.

“You didn’t bother to tell me you were getting married and expecting a baby,” she’ll say. But Billy will tell her she’s only in town because of Chancellor. After Billy leaves, Sally will tell Jill she’s sorry and not to take it personally. “He’ll come around,” she’ll add. “I promise.”

At the GCAC, Michael will tell Christine they both know what kind of person Patty is. Christine will say of course she does, she was her sister-in-law. But she’ll add that after reviewing the transcripts, she had no choice but to file charges against Diane. “Your friend’s situation doesn’t look so good.”

Michael will say Diane would never try to kill Jack and they both know it. Christine will say it’s his job to convince her of that. She doesn’t want to put Diane behind bars. Michael will tell her Patty never should have been released from the psyche facility to begin with.

Christine will say Dr. Laurence Markham (Jere Burns) has a stellar reputation. “That man held Diane hostage,” he’ll reply. “He seems as twisted as Patty, he would have to be to knowingly partake of this crime.” Then Lauren Fenmore (Tracy E. Bregman) will show up and Christine will say hello to her friend and head back to the office.

Lauren will tell Michael she doesn’t understand why Christine thinks Diane did this and not Patty. Michael will admit he’s frustrated. But he knows he just needs to put all the pieces together to paint a picture and will give it everything he’s got.

Young And The Restless Scoop – Diane Asks Why Jack Moved Patty In

Meanwhile, Diane will tell Kyle Patty is going to try to finish the job with Jack. He’ll say they’ve posted a guard. Diane will tell him the madwoman set it up perfectly. All the evidence points to one person. “And that person is me.”

Kyle will be in shock. “Christine’s gotta know you didn’t do this,” he’ll say. “What evidence could there possibly be?” Diane will say Dr. Markham also testified against her. Kyle will remind Diane he’s her alibi. “But you’re also my son,” she’ll reply. So the cops figure he’d do anything to protect her.

She’ll admit Jack is the only person who can tell Christine that Patty stabbed him and not her. When they hear he’s getting a CT scan, and it’ll take an hour, they’ll decide to head home for a bit. But they won’t notice Patty lurking, in nurse’s scrubs, because she’ll have her back to them.

Diane and Kyle will arrive home and she’ll ask her son why Jack would move Patty into the house. Kyle will say to protect her. If he didn’t do what Patty wanted, she would become collateral damage. Diane will understand and tell her son Jack is too strong to let Patty win.

Finally, Patty will see the guard standing in front of Jack’s hospital room door. But he’ll leave to grab some water from across the hall and she’ll walk into the room. Patty will tell Jack she ‘s worked way too hard to convince everyone Diane is responsible for what happened to him.

“And I’m not going to  have you ruin everything by telling everyone that’s not true,” she’ll add. “It’s a secret you will take to your grave.” Then Patty will pull out a syringe filled with liquid and lean over Jack.  But is she going to finish the job she started and kill him?
