The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Friday, July 3 reveals Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) will take Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) by surprise.
Also coming up, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will rescue Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters). Plus, Dr. Laurence Markham (Jere Burns) will get a shock, when he realizes he’s been drugged.
Y&R spoilers tease Diane will remember she has Dr. Markham’s burner phone and she’ll pull it out from behind the couch cousin. Once again, she’ll try to figure out the passcode. But then she’ll hear a window smashing and she’ll gasp. “Who’s there?” she’ll call out.
Y&R Daily Scoop – An Overjoyed Diane Will Embrace Her Son
Kyle will rush in and an overjoyed Diane will embrace him. She’ll ask how he found her and he’ll tell her Jack scoped the place out. But he couldn’t get too close because of the dogs. Diane will worry that Laurence is going to return and Kyle will say his father sent him a message from Patty’s phone. But they can’t leave, the dogs are surrounding the house.
Kyle will say there has to be another way out but Diane will tell him there isn’t. Then they’ll hear a car pull up. “Oh God, he’s back,” Diane will say to Kyle. She’ll ask him to hide and tell him to wait until she calls him. Dr. Markham will walk in and Diane will be her usual congenial self. She’ll tell him to enjoy his drink and try the canapes on the table.
So he’ll dig in to the appetizers. Diane will walk in and he’ll crack open the wine. She’ll hold her glass and talk about transference. Dr. Markham will say he has feelings for her too. He’ll tell Diane she’s beautiful and she’ll say she can also be resourceful.
When Dr. Markham starts swaying from the drugs she put in the canapes, Diane will tell Kyle to come out. The doctor will pass out and Diane will grab his keys from his pocket. There’ll be many and Kyle will try to figure out which one unlocks the front door.
Meanwhile, Jack will wonder if he made a mistake by sending Kyle over to Markham’s place. A few minutes later, Patty will walk out from the hot tub wearing a robe. She’ll tell him he was invited to join her but didn’t show. “There is a reason we are connected,” Patty will say. “You are drawn to me when you’re in an altered state.”
Jack will tell her he wants his wife back. And Patty will say she’s right there. “Why insist on the impossible Patty,” he’ll reply. “I will never want you!” Patty will tell Jack she deserves this, she was locked up because of him. Jack will say she was locked up because her free in the world brings death and destruction.
Young And The Restless Scoop – Jack Tells Patty She Can’t Threaten Diane
He’ll add that he knows she’s not the one calling the shots, Markham is. “You can’t threaten Diane.” Patty will say he cheated on her with Diane years ago, which drove her to darkness. Now Diane’s in her darkness. “Choose me Jack, choose me right now,” she’ll say, dropping her robe to the floor.
Jack will look away and hand the robe back to her. “Aren’t you tired of this?” he’ll ask. Jack will admit what he did to her years ago was cruel. But he got past it. “Why haven’t you?” Patty will insist on Jack coming upstairs to make love to her. If he doesn’t, she’ll call the doctor to release Diane into her care.
She’ll head upstairs and eventually Jack will join her. He’ll tell her the gig is up. Kyle is with Diane right now and he’s heading home with her. He snagged her phone and set it all up. “I’d sacrifice myself for you and you just break my heart all over again,” she’ll reply.
So Patty will grab her phone, saying she’s calling Laurence to finish off Diane. But instead of Laurence answering the phone, Diane will. Jack will hear his wife’s voice on the other end of the line and he’ll tell Patty to get out of his house. She’ll furiously storm out of the room.
Later, Kyle will call him from his vehicle and Jack will be thrilled to hear they’re on their way home. He’ll tell them Patty’s out of the house and he can’t wait to see Diane. After they hang up, Diane will tell her son she’s going to move back in, to be with Jack again.
Finally, Jack will turn around and see Patty standing there in the dining room, with her hand behind her back. She’ll approach, kiss him, and then stab him in the stomach with a butcher knife. Jack will gasp and his eyes will widen. Patty will tell him it’s okay, she’s with him, they’ll be together in the afterlife. But will Jack survive?
