The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Friday, May 8 reveals Noah Newman (Lucas Adams) and Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) will encounter Matt Clark (Roger Howarth).
Also coming up, Lauren Fenmore (Tracey E. Bregman) will have bad news for Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford). Plus, Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will grill Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). And Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will confess to Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle).
Y&R spoilers tease Chelsea will find Adam in the main house. They’ll talk about Phyllis and Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) being arrested and she’ll ask if Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will be arrested too. “Is that all a part of Victor’s plan?”
Adam will say it’s not like Billy wasn’t involved. Chelsea will say she knows he doesn’t care if Billy gets arrested. “I don’t and I only wish that you didn’t,” he’ll reply. She’ll suspect the evidence against Phyllis was planted. “This premature victory dance could blow up in all the Newman’s faces.”
Y&R Daily Scoop – Chelsea Asks How Far Adam Went With Riza
She’ll hope if his father tries to implicate Billy that Adam will intervene. “Are we going to go back to this old dynamic where you keep defending Billy?” he’ll ask and Chelsea will deny it. Then Riza Thomson (Tina Casciani) will call and Adam will tell her he’s not going back to being Spider.
He’ll hang up and tell Chelsea those days are over. “Are they?” she’ll ask. “Just how far into your spider role did you have to go to get information on Matt?” Adam will lie and say he and Riza’s relationship was purely business, nothing else. But he’ll also admit he’s fighting the desire to play poker.
Meanwhile, Phyllis will make a toast, to Matt finding himself. He’ll look behind him and see Nick standing there on his phone. But he won’t recognize him. Then Matt will ask what it’s like to live in Genoa City. “It really has a small town feel,” Phyllis will reply. But the people make judgements about you. “I think it would be unbearable if everyone had all these preconceived notions about me,” Matt will admit.
He’ll tell Phyllis he’s going to explore the city and will walk undetected behind Nick as he leaves. Victoria will arrive and she and her brother will sit together. He’ll tell her Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun) says she killed Matt. But he won’t believe it until the body is found.
Then he’ll make a shocking admission. “I want you to know that this is under control and I’m gonna be fine,” Nick will say. “I’m addicted to drugs.” And he’ll tell Victoria the whole story of how it happened and how he’s addicted to fentanyl. “It just breaks my heart,” a teary-eyed Victoria will say.
As for Phyllis, she’ll return to the office and Lauren will tell her all their deals have fallen apart. “This has Victor Newman written all over it,” Phyllis will say. But Lauren will tell her things are going to continue to unravel. However, Phyllis still won’t cave.
Young And The Restless Scoop – Noah Gets On The Horn To His Father
At the Chancellor Park Café, Noah will encounter Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver). “I can always tell when something’s up with you,” she’ll say. “What is it? What’s wrong?” He’ll say he’s dealing with some family drama. Audra will tell him she just ran into Claire Newman (Hayley Erin), which stressed her out. So Noah will ask why there’s so much animosity between them. “Were you really trying to come between her and Kyle Abbott?”
Audra will say she never wanted him. However, she indirectly had something to do with their break up. “Claire won’t let it go,” Audra will add. She’ll invite him to come sit with her when he gets his drinks and will promise not to talk about Claire.
As Noah heads inside, Matt will come along and he’ll stare at Audra and then approach her. “Hi,” he’ll say. “Mitch?” Audra will reply. “You know me?” he’ll ask. She’ll ask what he’s doing there and what he wants. Noah will walk out of the café and he’ll grab Matt by the lapels.
“Matt Clark, you son of a bitch!” he’ll say. “I should kill you right here and now.” Noah will tell Audra to call his dad. “Do you know who I am?” Matt will ask him. Noah will ask if he’s trying to fake amnesia. “I’m going to make sure you’re gonna pay for hurting my family.”
Matt will pull out of his grip. He’ll point to Audra and say she called him Mitch, now he’s calling him Matt. “Please, please just tell me who I am,” he’ll beg Noah. “You want everyone to believe that you don’t remember who you are?” Noah will reply. But Matt will say his memory is completely wiped. Then he’ll punch Noah and take off.
Finally, Audra will tell Noah his father wouldn’t answer her call. So he’ll get on the horn to Nick. Noah will tell him he’s at the park café and just ran into Matt, who claimed he didn’t know who he was. “He sucker punched me and took off,” he’ll add. Nick will tell his son to stay there, he’s on his way.
