The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Thursday, May 7 reveals Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will find the person he’s looking for.
Also coming up, Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) will meet Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford). Plus, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will lean on Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland). And Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) will accept Holden Novak’s (Nathan Owens) invitation.
Y&R spoilers tease Lily will pay Traci a visit. She’ll be in tears and Traci will hug her. She’ll tell Lily to let it all out. So Lily will explain Cane got tested and he’s a match. She’ll gush over how selfless he’s being and add she feels like he’s himself again.

But it’s all falling apart because Cane got arrested, due to the Newman takeover. “Cane’s saying the evidence is made up.” Traci won’t be surprised. “But Cane is a match so there’s got to be a way to sort this out,” she’ll add. And she’ll suggest Lily reach out to Holden.
At Summers Conglomerate, Nick will walk into Phyllis’ office and he’ll be furious with her. “What happened to you?” she’ll ask. “You used to be my hero.” Nick will remind her she’s facing prison. He’ll start shouting and Phyllis will be alarmed. “What is with you?” she’ll ask. “Are you okay?” But Nick will get even angrier and tell Phyllis he doesn’t care what happens to her anymore.
At the cabin, Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun) will be spiraling. She’ll tell Noah Newman (Lucas Adams) she won’t feel normal again until she knows whether Matt’s dead or not. Sienna will say she has the feeling Matt is coming for her and is in town right now.
Over at the Chancellor Park Cafe, Claire and Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) will realize there’s only one outdoor table left. So Audra will suggest they share it. She’ll proceed to brag about Spectra Charles Media and Claire will remind her part of the company was stolen. So Audra will tell her it’s sad there’s nobody left to hand Claire a job.
Meanwhile, Matt will walk into the Genoa City Athletic Club. He’ll greet the bartender, hoping he recognizes him. But he won’t. Then Cane will sit at the bar and Matt will ask if they’ve ever met before. “I don’t think so,” Cane will reply. Matt will try to engage him in a conversation but he’ll say excuse me and sit at a table.
Holden will arrive and Cane will tell him he made bail but is considered a flight risk and can’t leave town. Holden will take a call and walk away. Then Phyllis will arrive and Cane will say he’ll never forgive her for this, as Matt watches everything.
Young And The Restless Scoop – Cane Will Break His Bail If He Has To
After Holden returns and says he’s meeting Lily at Crimson Lights, he and Cane will leave. Phyllis will sit at the bar and glance over at Matt. “Why are you staring at me?” she’ll ask. They’ll exchange some flirty banter and Phyllis will complain about his vague answers. But then Matt will admit he doesn’t who he is.
He’ll ask her about Cane and she’ll tell him he owns the place. “He wanted to forget his past and created a whole new him and he didn’t care if anyone didn’t like him,” she’ll add. “Then he reverted to the old him, this love sick, wimpy him.”
So Matt will ask if she’s for or against reinvention. Phyllis will say she created a hotel called The Grand Phoenix, so there’s his answer. Matt will tell her he wishes he could just remember who he is. “What I wouldn’t give for a memory wipe right now,” Phyllis will reply. Then Nick will walk in and look towards the bar. But will he attack Matt?
Finally, Cane and Holden will arrive at the coffee shop and he’ll tell Lily he can’t leave Genoa City. Holden will say Cane can do the donation in town and it’ll be delivered to New York, but she’ll still be worried. Cane and Lily will head out to the patio and Claire will arrive. She’ll tell Holden she accepts his invitation to go to New York.
Out on the patio, Cane will tell Lily everything is going to work out. “If you need me in New York, when the time comes, I will take my chances with the law,” Cane will add. “It means if I have to, I will break my bail.”
