Experience met excellence last night, as daytime’s most iconic veterans dominated the winners’ circle at the 2026 Daytime Emmy Awards.
Beth Maitland, who portrays Traci Abbott on The Young And The Restless (Y&R), took home the gold for Outstanding Supporting Actress. The Bold And The Beautiful’s (B&B) Scott Clifton, who plays Liam Spencer, won the award for Outstanding Lead Actor. Y&R’s Roger Howarth (Matt Clark) also took home gold, as Outstanding Supporting Actor.
Beyond The Gates (BTG) also received two acting honors, Tamara Tunie, who portrays Anita Dupree, won for Outstanding Lead Actress, and Ambyr Michelle, who plays Eva Thomas, took home the award for Outstanding Emerging Talent.
Accepting her Emmy, Beth Maitland pointed out the last time she won was 41 years ago. “I was equally as gobsmacked back then, as a young actress, and I can’t tell you how meaningful it is to me,” she said in her acceptance speech. “I am so honored and I am so grateful, thank you all very much.”
Daytime Emmys – Genie Francis Receives Well-Deserved Recognition
Y&R’s Roger Howarth won his first Emmy in 32 years. “I’m really happy, I love being an actor,” he said. “I want to share this with Josh Griffith and I want to say thank you to Sally and to CBS and to Sonny. And to a cast and a crew that have made me feel so welcome.

Soap vet Genie Francis received the Lifetime Achievement Award, for her decades-long career playing Laura Collins on General Hospital (GH). The ABC sudser also took home Outstanding Writing Team, Outstanding Drama and Outstanding Casting. And GH’s Jeff Kober won Outstanding Guest Performer for his portrayal of Cyrus Renault.
Other awards handed out included Outstanding Directing Team, which went to Days Of Our Lives (DOOL). BTG also picked up awards for Outstanding Hairstyling And Makeup (a tie with The Kelly Clarkson Show) and Outstanding Lighting. Y&R grabbed the statuette for Outstanding Costume Design And Styling.
Daytime Emmy Awards – Clifton Has A Total Of Three Emmys Under His Belt
Perhaps the most telling award handed out was to an actor who hasn’t been seen on the B&B canvas since July. Scott Clifton’s absence has been noticed by fans and becomes even more obvious, now that he’s won a major Daytime Emmy Award. It’s also notable that this was the only award B&B won last night.
Clifton took the time to honor his fellow nominees. “I am in awe of all of you and you taught me so much.” He also thanked Executive Producer Brad Bell, Don Diamont (Bill Spencer) and Annika Noelle (Hope Spencer). Clifton now has three Emmys under his belt, for younger, supporting and lead actor.
With seasoned titans sweeping the board and securing career-defining triumphs, the 2026 Daytime Emmy Awards served as a powerful reminder that daytime’s rich history continues to anchor its future success.
