The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Tuesday, July 8 reveals Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will recall killing the old man (Michael Swan).
Also coming up, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will get some comfort from Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic). Plus, Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) will put her wife on blast. And Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian) will get ready to propose to Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell).
Y&R spoilers tease Victoria will ask Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) if she was able to get any sleep. She’ll say a bit but she couldn’t stop thinking about her father. Victoria will tell her daughter to think of all the wonderful things they did together.
Claire will ask what needs to be done. Victoria will say she has to arrange for a cremation and a memorial service. “How do I do this?” Claire will ask her and Victoria will say there’s no correct way to grieve.
Y&R Daily Scoop – Nate Drops In To Check On Victoria And Claire
She’ll tell her mom she had a dream about Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck) and he was telling her it was okay and to go on with her life. Claire will ask if she can recite the poem he read at her memorial, when they thought they’d lost her. Victoria will say of course she can.
Someone from the funeral home will come by and they’ll pick out an urn. Then Victoria will get a call from security. “Someone wants to come by and pay their respects,” she’ll tell Claire. And Nate will come to the door.
He’ll say he spoke with a doctor friend at the hospital and heard about Cole. So, Victoria will invite him in. He’ll talk to Victoria and Claire and when he leaves, he’ll tell her he’s glad they’re friends again. “I am too,” she’ll reply and embrace him.
Meanwhile, Danny and Christine will enjoy a meal at Society. They’ll talk about Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) and Danny will admit he’s worried about his son. Then they’ll discuss Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) and Christine will say she spent some time with her. Offscreen, of course.
After Christine spends a few minutes bashing Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), Danny will ask her is she’s free this evening for dinner, dancing and a little romance. “Yes to all three,” Christine will reply.
Meanwhile, Tessa will give Daniel another guitar lesson at the park and Mariah will come along. Tessa will play a song and Daniel will spot her watching them. Tessa will look up and make a face. Mariah will turn to walk away and Tessa will tell her not to.
Young And The Restless Scoop – Daniel Hopes He Can Find Love Again
She’ll say she heard the song and it was really good. Daniel will walk away and Tessa will tell Mariah it’s good to see her. “Is it?” she’ll ask. “Mariah, the only one here who hates you is you,” Tessa will reply.
They’ll discuss their daughter and Tessa will say she knows something is wrong and she needs her. “Aria isn’t the only one who needs you,” she’ll add. “You won’t let me hold you, I feel like I’m losing the woman I love.”
But Mariah will say she knows she’s making the right decision. “I have told you how much you’re hurting our daughter but that is not enough for you to let me in,” Tessa will say. “Maybe we should make the separation permanent.”
Once again, Mariah will stonewall her wife, saying she can’t tell her anything. “For the last time, why?” Tessa will ask. “Maybe it’s time I shut you out too.” As Tessa walks away, Mariah will call her name, but she’ll keep on walking.
Tessa will end up walking into Society, as Danny is telling Daniel he’s going to propose to Christine that night. Daniel will tell his father he hopes he finds love and happiness again someday. He’ll gaze at Tessa, but she’ll be too lost in thought to notice that he’s there.
Finally, Mariah will have another flashback. This time, she’s on top of the old guy she met in the bar. She has a pillow over his head. He’ll struggle and she’ll raise the pillow, but then she’ll finish the job and smother him.
