The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Monday, April 21 reveals Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) will tell her mom and grandmother she’s in love with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor).
Also coming up, Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) will struggle. Plus, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will turn down Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) offer. And Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will ask for Billy’s help.
Y&R spoilers tease Billy will show up at the GCAC restaurant. He’ll be concerned when Daniel doesn’t seem like he’s enthusiastic about working at Abbott Communications. Daniel will say he just doesn’t know where he’ll fit in.
Y&R Daily Scoop – Daniel Tells Billy He Can’t Move Forward On It
But Phyllis will say he just needs a little motivation. Billy will tell Daniel he’s not loving this sudden turnaround. “I want your passion and your creativity.” Daniel will say he doesn’t think he’s ready for it and can move forward. “Sorry,” he’ll add and leave.
Phyllis will chase after him, as Sally walks in. She’ll follow her son to the park and say she knows he’s struggling. “I know a job can’t replace what you lost,” she’ll add. However, she was hoping the job would help relieve his pain. “I just thought that time was gonna fix this, it would make everything better,” he’ll reply. “But it hasn’t.”
He thinks Abbott Communications isn’t it for him. Phyllis will say she doesn’t want to do it without him. “Let me figure out what my next chapter is, please,” Daniel will say. Then he’ll head to Crimson Lights and run into Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks). Daniel will tell her he feels like his life has hit the brakes and he’s not sure how to get it back on track.
Meanwhile, Sally will walk over to Billy and ask what’s going on. “I think the triad of Abbott Communications just blew up in my face,” he’ll reply. Sally will tell him to move on to his plan B. But Billy will say he doesn’t have one. “Why wouldn’t you have a plan B if your partner is Phyllis?” Sally will ask.
She’ll advise he should start planning one, with someone he can trust. Billy will say he trusts her and will suggest she work with him. However, Sally will say fashion is where she belongs. She’ll also tell him if there’s one thing Phyllis is, it’s loyal, adding Phyllis asked her to convince him not to work with Aristotle Dumas.
“Maybe she’s not as loyal as I thought,” he’ll reply. But Sally will say Phyllis was just trying to protect him. Plus, she agrees that the man cannot be trusted, whoever he is. Then Phyllis will show up and tell him Daniel is not okay. “I need your help.”
Young And The Restless Scoop – Nikki Shows Claire And Victoria Photos
At Society, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), will show Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Claire photos from Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) trip to London. Which means viewers won’t see any footage from the actual trip.
Nevertheless, Claire will mention that Kyle suggested they move in together and she wanted to run it by them. Victoria will say she thinks it’s too soon. “It’s a big decision, it’s life changing,” she’ll add. “I feel like it would be best if you took things a little more slowly.”
Not to mention, her grandfather won’t like it. “It’d be like throwing gas on a fire.” So, Victoria will say the best course of action is to not provoke Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) right now. “Wait until he has a chance to calm down.”
Victoria will ask if Nikki agrees. “Actually I don’t,” she’ll reply. “I think you and Kyle should do what feels right for you, regardless of how Victor feels.” Victoria will push back but Nikki will say Claire has the right to live her own life.
Claire will say if Kyle makes her happy, maybe Victor will eventually accept them. She’ll point out he didn’t accept her mom and dad at first but now he does. “It gives me hope.” Then she’ll admit she’s fallen in love with Kyle. “We haven’t used the L word, but I know Kyle feels the same way I do.”
Finally, Victoria will say she doesn’t want to see her get hurt. “Kyle’s not going to hurt me and suddenly I know what comes next,” Claire will reply, as Kyle arrives. “What do you need to do?” a smiling Kyle will ask his girlfriend. “Not just me, we,” she’ll reply. But will Claire decide to move in with Kyle?
