The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Tuesday, May 12 reveals Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will tell Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) now is the time to forgive his brother.
Also coming up, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will open up to Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman). Plus, Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) will bond with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil). And Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) wants to team up with Matt Clark (Roger Howarth).
Y&R spoilers tease Patty will literally run into Billy at Crimson Lights. “You’re still in town?” he’ll ask. “You really are a glutton for punishment, aren’t you?” But Patty will say she’s just there for a green tea. Billy will tell her he knows the only reason she’s still in Genoa City is to go after Jack. Patty will say everyone in town, except Diane, will eventually see she’s reformed.

She’ll remind Billy he put the Abbott family through hell at times and they forgave him. Patty wishes they could do the same for her. “Don’t do that, I never terrorized a family,” Billy will reply. And he’ll remind her of her many crimes against the Abbotts. “Don’t ever compare your past to mine.” He’ll tell her to leave town and never come back.
After Billy walks out, Patty will encounter Matt and they’ll smile at each other. “Can I ask you a question?” he’ll say. “Does the name Matt Clark mean anything to you?” Patty will say it doesn’t, but she’ll introduce herself.
Matt will explain he was in some kind of accident and doesn’t remember who he is. He’ll say the reason he’s in town is he found a GCAC key card. But he’s also run into people who’ve accused him of doing bad things. “Maybe we can help each other,” Patty will reply.
Meanwhile, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will encounter Diane at Society. Diane will congratulate her on her pregnancy and the engagement to Billy and Sally will ask if she wants to join her. “I’d love that,” she’ll reply.
They’ll sit down together and Sally will say she and Billy are heartbroken over the situation with Jack. But Diane will tell her if she could let go of her pain she would. She’ll even wonder if falling in love with him again was a huge mistake. Sally will say she knows what it’s like to have fear and rage cloud your judgement.
“Is it time for you to reevaluate not what you’re feeling but why you’re feeling it?” she’ll ask. “Is what happened on the yacht making you reevaluate your worthiness all over again?” Diane will be confused and Sally will apologize if she’s overstepping. Billy will arrive and tell them he just ran into Patty.
Young And The Restless Scoop – Lily Will Channel All Of Dru’s Hatred
He’ll say she thinks she’s going to be redeemed in everyone’s eyes except Diane’s, which is a warning Patty sees her as an obstacle. But Diane will say she’s not afraid of Patty. “If you are the obstacle, that means Jack is the target,” Billy will reply. “You don’t want to let Patty win do you?” So he’ll suggest it’d be no contest at all if she were to forgive Jack. “Now would be the time.”
On Cane’s choo choo train, Lily will pick up a photo of herself that he has on his credenza. “It’s one of my favorites,” he’ll say, as he walks in. Lily will give him a container of his favorite cookies, oatmeal chocolate chip. She’ll tell him it’s for everything he’s doing for their family.
They’ll discuss his procedure, which he’s going through the next day. Lily will say she wishes he could be in New York, but Dr. Stephanie Simmons (Vivica A. Fox) assured her it’s perfectly safe to courier the stem cells. Talk will turn to his arrest.
Cane will tell Lily he was about to hand Newman back over to Victor in exchange for her and the kids. But then Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) stole it. Lily will say she’s not about to let Phyllis get away with it. So she’ll show up at Summers Conglomerate and tell Phyllis if she doesn’t clear Cane’s name she’ll dismantle her.
“Cane is innocent, this is all on you,” she’ll add. “Don’t you dare drag Cane down with you.” Phyllis will ask what Lily’s going to do. “I will channel every ounce of hatred my mother ever had for you,” she’ll reply. “So believe me Phyllis, don’t make me your enemy.”
Finally, Nikki, sporting a rather voluminous bouffant, will join Jack for lunch at the GCAC restaurant. He’ll ask if the split with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is taking its toll. “As angry and hurt as I am with Victor, I miss him,” she’ll admit. But Jack will encourage her not to give in. “Maybe it’s time you finally let go,” he’ll add, taking her hand in his, just as Diane walks in.
