The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Wednesday, April 22 reveals Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) will catch Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) with Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott).
Also coming up, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will hand Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) a bag of cash. Plus, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will ask Christine Romalotti (Lauralee Bell) to help her take down Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford). And Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) will tell Lauren Fenmore (Tracey E. Bregman) everything.
Y&R spoilers tease Diane will get a delivery in her hotel room, a gift bag from Jack. She’ll open the card and read a heartfelt letter from her husband. Also in the bag is a platinum diamond ring, once owned by Josephine Baker. Diane will grab the gift bag and head downstairs, where she’ll run smack dab into Patty.
They’ll quarrel and Patty will tell Diane she knows who she is. “You are the one who slept with Jack when I was pregnant with our child and I lost that baby because of you.” But Diane will say Patty’s as sick as she ever was and she’ll storm out.
Y&R Daily Scoop – Jack Tells Nikki He’s Sure His Marriage Is Over
At the Abbott estate, Jack and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will discuss a product that’s not doing well. The doorbell will ring and Jack will see Nikki outside. He’ll let her in and she’ll ask if it’s just her or if it seems like things are getting worse by the moment.
“It is definitely not just you,” Jack will reply. Kyle will head to the office and Jack will admit he’s almost ready to give up trying to win Diane back. Nikki will talk about how disgusted she is with Victor, for unleashing Patty on him.
Jack will head into the dining room and grab a plate of food for Nikki, just as Diane walks in. “Cozy,” she’ll quip. Diane will say she’s not surprised to see him with his “dear friend.” Diane will add that she just saw Patty. Jack will say he’s sure that was unpleasant.
“It was,” she’ll reply. “But you know what’s even more unpleasant? You thinking a piece of jewelry will make this all okay.” Jack will ask if she read his letter. Diane will say it was nice but she just can’t accept it. And she’ll hand him the gift bag back.
Jack will ask if the day will ever come that she’ll forgive him and Diane will turn to Nikki. “Are you happy now?” she’ll ask. “Instead of paying so much attention to my marriage you might want to focus your attention on what’s left of yours.” Diane will leave and Jack will tell Nikki his wife can’t even look at him. He’s pretty sure his marriage is over.
Meanwhile, Michael will tell Lauren Victor plans to burn Summers Conglomerate to the ground. “It’s pretty much a clear thing that Phyllis is going down,” Michael will add. “And I don’t want you going down with her.” Lauren will say there was a mass exodus at the company. But they plan to hire loyal employees and they want to start with Michael as head of legal.
Young And The Restless Scoop – Phyllis Has An Encounter With Patty
Michael will say that was just step one. Lauren will ask if there’s more. “I’m afraid so,” he’ll reply. “He’s developed this AI program that will provide fabricated evidence Phyllis illegally took control of Newman Enterprises.” Lauren will want to warn Phyllis. But Michael will tell her they need to convince Phyllis to give Newman back.
At Society, Phyllis will see Victoria. “You look so tense,” she’ll tell Red. But Phyllis will say Victor’s not going to get away with it. “Siphoning off all my employees is not going to ruin me,” she’ll add. “When you see your daddy tell him his big move was a bust.”
Christine Romalotti (Lauralee Bell) will show up and she and Victoria will taunt Phyllis. They’ll argue with her and head over to the bar. Christine will tell Victoria what Phyllis is doing to her family is insufferable. “We’re keeping our eye on the prize,” Victoria will say.
She’ll add they were going to congratulate her on possibly becoming the new DA. “What would you say if I told you I was privy to some information?” Victoria will say. Christine will ask what kind. “The kind that will take Phyllis down for good,” Victoria will reply.
As for Phyllis, she’ll head to the GCAC and be horrified to see Patty. “Who would let you and your murderous, toxic mind back into the world?” she’ll ask. “My daughter could have died because of you.” Then Phyllis will join Michael and Lauren and he’ll say the business isn’t the only thing in jeopardy. But he can offer her a way out.
Finally, Patty will end up at the ranch, where Victor will commend her on a job well done. He’ll hand her a bag of cash and she’ll say she’s never seen anything more beautiful. “Thank you for taking a chance on me,” she’ll tell Victor. “Letting me prove what I can do.”
