The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Monday, June 15 reveals Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) will wake up in an unfamiliar place.
Also coming up, Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) will give Dr. Laurence Markham (Jere Burns) a payout. Plus, Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) will raise the alarm with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman).
Y&R spoilers tease Jack will flash back to his wife catching him in bed with Patty on the yacht. Then Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will arrive. He’ll ask his father if he’s heard from Diane since the Maryland fundraiser they attended.
Jack will say no, and remind his son that Diane was just playing the part of happy wife. But since they’ve returned, her car has been in the parking lot for the past two days and she hasn’t been to work. “I don’t think your mother’s hiding from us this time, she is missing,” Jack will add. “And I think I know exactly who’s behind it.”
Y&R Daily Scoop – Traci Sees Patty Talking With A Mystery Man
He’ll call Detective Burrow (Matt Cohen) and he’ll show up at the Abbott estate. Burrow will ask if Diane disappeared on her own. Jack will say no. Then he’ll suggest Patty has something to do with it. Burrow will ask if his wife has ever done anything like this before and Kyle will say she runs a critical part of Jabot and wouldn’t do that.
Meanwhile, Patty will meet with Dr. Markham at the park cafe. She’ll ask how everything went. “Like clockwork,” he’ll reply. “I think you’ll be very pleased with the outcome.” Patty will hand him an envelope filled with cash and say she’ll need proof everything is as they discussed.
Then Traci will come up behind them, see Diane and back up behind a pillar. She’ll call Jack and tell him she’s at the park cafe and Patty is with some man. “And they are up to no good,” she’ll add. “I just know it.” After she hangs up, Traci will run into the doctor, who will apologize.
Patty will say she was wondering when she’d run into her. “I despise you and that will never change,” Traci will reply. “Who was that man you were with and what fresh misery are the two of you cooking up?” Then Jack will walk up and ask Patty what she’s done with Diane. She’ll deny she knows anything but Jack will tell her once the truth is out, she’ll be back in an institution.
Jack and Traci will return home and she’ll get a call from her editor. The doorbell will ring and Jack will look through the glass door and see Patty standing there. After she walks inside, Patty will show him a photo of Diane. It will show her passed out in a white padded cell.
Patty will say Diane suffered a horrible breakdown. “Her psyche shattered and lucky for me I found her. Now she’s in a place where she’ll be cared for.” Jack will ask if the doctor she met with has anything to do with it. Patty will say Dr. Markham recommended a clinic that could help Diane.
Young And The Restless Scoop – Diane’s Well Being Is In Jack’s Hands
Jack will start playing nice and ask if she can just tell him where his wife is. “Diane’s well being is in your hands,” Patty will reply, moving in close to him. Jack will say he can’t believe she’s going to blackmail him into a relationship, using his wife as leverage. “You never really loved Diane,” she’ll reply. “Now you and I get to recapture that magic we had on the yacht.”
Finally, a dazed Diane will walk into an unfamiliar living room. She’ll try the door handle, but it won’t open. Then she’ll see the bars on the windows and a bunch of books on the shelf, written by Dr. Alan Laurent (Christopher Cousins).
She’ll find a letter opener and try to pick the lock on the door. But Dr. Markham will arrive. “Oh good, you’re up,” he’ll say. Diane will threaten him with the letter opener. She’ll ask who the hell he is and why he’s locked her in there. He’ll say he’s a psychiatrist and she’ll put the makeshift weapon down.
“You’ll be staying here while I determine where you should go next,” the doctor will say, as Diane glances down at the letter opener. Dr. Markham will tell her she had a breakdown. He’ll lie and say he found her, screaming and inconsolable, at the side of the road in her car.
So he called the cops and her husband. Dr. Markham will say Jack agreed the best thing for her would be if he treated her. He’ll add that they should get to the bottom of her breakdown. Diane will say she agrees but she wants to go to a clinic. “I don’t want to stay in this house one more minute. Let me leave, now!”
