The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Friday, July 4 reveals Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will arrive in France to warn his family.
Also coming up, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will worry about her daughter, granddaughter and Chancellor Industries. Plus, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will propose an alliance to Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn). And Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will be faced with a tough question.
Y&R spoilers tease Victor will try his cell phone, but to no avail. “I wonder how Cole is doing?” Nikki will ask, not realizing he’s already met his maker. She’s concerned about Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) and will say they’re basically being held captive in a very high end prison.
“If Cane shows us his cards, maybe I’ll ask him to join forces with us,” Victor will proclaim to his shocked wife. Then Cane will walk in the train car. “Your timing couldn’t be better,” Victor will tell him. Cane will say the workers have made progress and the hope is that by early next week, everyone can go.
Y&R Daily Scoop – Nick Asks Adam How He Made It To The Chateau
Victor will lie and say they’ve been enjoying it there. “Yes,” Nikki will add. “You have been the consummate host.” Cane will ask what changed their minds from wanting to leave. Victor will say they haven’t been on vacation for a long time. Talk will turn to Chancellor and Victor will tell Cane it’ll never be his, but he has a proposition for him. “Why don’t we take a walk?”
They’ll end up in the maze and when Victor mentions Colin, Cane will get offended. But he’ll also say he’s stunned by what Cane’s accomplished in a short period of time. “Why should you and I be adversaries?” Victor will ask. “What would you think if we worked together?”
Meanwhile, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will show up in the train car and Victor will return. He’ll say he doesn’t trust Cane, but there are other ways to bring him over. Then Adam will appear and Nick will ask him how he even got up there.
“Trust me, it wasn’t easy,” Adam will reply. He’ll say he had to hand out bribes to find out where the chateau even was. Then he hiked up a dirt path, which took him three hours. He’ll also say he learned news about Aristotle Dumas. “I was guessing it was Colin Atkinson.” But Victor will tell him it’s his son. Adam will say that was he and Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan) second guess.
“What tipped you off?” Nick will ask. “Arabesque has been buying a ton of real estate in Genoa City,” he’ll reply. He’ll add he bought the athletic club and some old Chancellor divisions. Then they’ll be shocked when Adam tell them Chelsea ran into Cane at Crimson Lights, yesterday.
“In other words, there is a way out of here,” Victor will say. Nikki and Nick will decide to confront Cane. But Victor will tell them not so fast. “Cane has been playing his game, so far. Let’s see how he does when he starts playing my game.”
Young And The Restless Scoop – Cane Wants Every Business In Town
In the dining area, Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) will tell Phyllis she’s the most narcissistic person she knows. Phyllis will apologize and ask if they can move on. “I happened to hear a private conversation,” she’ll say. “It seems like somebody has been lying to us, and we both know who it it.”
Amanda will ask whose conversations she was listening to. “Yours,” she’ll reply and Amanda will be furious. “What I did hear is Cane has had a way on and off this property,” Phyllis will tell her. “He just got back in from Genoa City last night.”
But Amanda will lie and say Cane hasn’t left. “Cane doesn’t want to do business with anyone here, does he?” Phyllis will reply. So, she wants to know who’s on his corporate hit list. “I won’t tell anyone that Cane has been able to go back and forth to Genoa City.” Amanda will say it sounds like blackmail. Phyllis will say she just wants to be a team player.
She’ll ask where Cane is and remind Amanda they’re friends. She’s on her side and Cane’s side. “I already consider myself a part of the team.” Then Cane will come along and ask how far she’d be willing to go to stay on the team. “As far as I have to,” Phyllis will reply.
But Cane wonder who she’d be willing to betray. “Billy Abbott? Jack?” he’ll ask. “Let me make it a little harder for you, would you be willing to betray Nick?” Phyllis will say it’s a lot to ask and she’ll wonder why he’s asked her.
Finally, Cane will tell Phyllis she’s smart and needs to connect the dots. “What if I were to tell you I don’t want one of them, I want all of them,” he’ll add. “Abbott Communications, Jabot, Chancellor, even Newman Enterprises.” Phyllis will tell him she’s on board. “I want to be right there, by your side.”
