The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Thursday, July 16 reveals Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) will make a pitch to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).
Also coming up, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will worry about Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow). Plus, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) will mark the one year anniversary of Cole Howard’s (J. Eddie Peck) death.
Y&R spoilers tease Claire will remind Victoria it’s been a year since Cole passed away. So, she’s baking a tuna casserole (one of his favorites). They’ll decide to spend the evening on the couch, looking at photos and sharing memories of Cole.
Y&R Daily Scoop – Victoria And Claire Share Memories Of Cole
Talk will turn to Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and Victoria will say she doesn’t think they have a future together. They’re just friends. Besides, she doesn’t really want a commitment at the moment. But Victoria will admit she’d be open to a relationship that wasn’t serious.
At the ranch, Nick will tell his father he agrees with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), they shouldn’t go after Spectra Charles. Victor will say he’s doing it. “I think this is Chelsea’s influence,” he’ll add. “She has too much control over Adam, I don’t like it.”
Talk will turn to Nick’s recovery. He’ll say he goes to a meeting every day. But he feels powerless over his career. Victor will say he did it for Nick’s own good. “I think it’s a mistake,” he’ll reply. “Sidelining me is the worst thing you can do.” Nikki will walk into the room and tell Victor he should let Nicholas return to his job. Victor will say he’ll think about it.
At Society, Audra will tell Sally she just met with her contact in Paris, who is willing to help them expand their platforms. Sally will say it’s awesome news. “And yet you seem not excited,” Audra will reply. Sally will say she just learned Victor is targeting Spectra Charles.
Audra will say that man needs to get a life. “Let him try,” she’ll say. “We’re not going down without a fight, we’re not going down at all.” Audra will ask how she found out and Sally will say she overheard Adam and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) talking about it. “Of course they’re on board with Victor’s stupid raid on our company,” Audra will quip.
But Sally will tell her they insisted they weren’t okay with his plan. Audra will doubt that Adam’s going to defy his father. But Sally will defend him. Although they’ll both agree that Chelsea and Adam won’t be able to change Victor’s mind. “Maybe we go on the attack,” Audra will suggest.
Young And The Restless Scoop – Nikki’s Bandages Come Off Tomorrow
Sally will agree and say perhaps they should go directly to Victor. And she’ll say she’s heading over there now. Audra will tell Sally she’s going with her. “So we’re doing this?” Sally will ask and Audra will say they are. “Good,” Sally will reply. “Because I just came up with a plan.”
The ladies will show up at the ranch. Nick will tell Sally he’s against what his father is doing and wish them luck. Then he and Nikki will head out for a walk and end up at the cottage. Victoria will ask how her mom feels about the bandages coming off and she’ll say she’s trying to stay positive.
Finally, Victor will tell Sally and Audra it’s a good thing they showed up today. “Because tomorrow Spectra Charles will no longer exist.” Sally will say Spectra Charles didn’t steal anything, they just absorbed Newman Media. Victor will insist they can’t dissuade him. “We’re here to make a deal,” Sally will reply. She’ll say she knows what it’d take to fight the deal but they have a solution.
“The integration of Newman Media is still in its early stages, we would be willing to sell it back to you.” But Victor will ask why he should pay for something that is already his. Sally will say it’s understandable. However, he has no beef with them. “We’ve been respectful of the legacy,” Audra will add. “So why go to the trouble?”
Victor will say it’s no trouble at all, at least not for him. “You don’t know me very well,” he’ll say to Sally. “I love the fight, so bring it on.” Sally will tell him she spoke with Adam and Chelsea and they admitted to asking him not to move forward. “Nick is not a fan of the idea either.”
She’ll ask why he’d risk a rogue move, which will alienate Adam and Nick. “If we make this deal, Spectra Charles remains intact and you would keep Newman Media,” Sally will add. “It would be a win all around.” But will Victor back down? All signs point to no.
