The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Monday, August 31 reveals Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) won’t be surprised to see Matt Clark (Roger Howarth).
Also coming up, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will make a pitch to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). Plus, Dr. Stephanie Simmons (Vivica A. Fox) will give Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) a gift. And Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will worry about Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) safety.
Y&R spoilers tease Stephanie will arrive at Nate’s place and he’ll invite her in. He’ll say he was just tidying up, with his surgery coming up tomorrow. Stephanie will give him a gift to commemorate his first step to going back to his life as a surgeon. He’ll open it up and chuckle when he finds a pair of shoes.
Y&R Daily Scoop – Victoria’s Alarmed By Audra’s Naughty Comment
“This is incredibly thoughtful,” he’ll say. “Now I just have to get through this surgery with flying colors.” Nate will ask if she has time to go out for a coffee and end up at the cafe, where they’ll run into Devon Winters (Bryton James). He’ll watch them together, with a knowing look in his eyes.
At the ranch, Victoria will talk to Victor about exciting things she has in the works. “Are you using the same marketing strategy that Audra Charles used to launch Vibrante?” he’ll ask. Victoria will ask how he knows about that. But of course, Victor knows everything.
When she tells him about her plan, he’ll be concerned it could boost Jabot. “How could you not want me to take down Jack’s company?” Victoria will ask. Victor will say he agrees to it. But he’ll warn her that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and his parents aren’t above playing dirty and to keep her distance.
Victoria will head out and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will arrive. Victor will say the woman that Nick saved checked into the same facility and there seems to be a connection. “What if she is not as strong, what if she pulls him down?”
Meanwhile, Audra will angrily read something on her phone as Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) walks into Crimson Lights. “It looks like Victoria stole something that should have been mine,” she’ll tell him. She’ll add Newman wants to buy her Vibrante patents. Kyle will praise Victoria and Audra will ask when he became a fan of the Newmans. So he’ll tell her he’s sure Victoria will succeed where she failed.
Then Victoria will walk in and Audra will say they were talking about her and she’s been a naughty girl. “Excuse me?” Victoria will reply. Kyle will tell her Audra heard she’s reviving Vibrante. A relieved Victoria will say it belongs to Newman now and she better remember that. Audra will tell her she can’t wait to report on when Vibrante inevitably tanks and she’ll leave.
Young And The Restless Scoop – Nick Tells Her He’s Disappeared Before
Kyle and Victoria will flash back to their passionate evening. “Good morning,” Kyle will say, a grin on his face. Victoria will tell him her father found out about their competition so she was forced to tell him about it. “I promised him Vibrante would annihilate Jabot,” she’ll add. “Good luck with that,” Kyle will reply.
At the rehab clinic, Nick will be angry to see Phyllis and tell her he doesn’t want her there. She’ll walk up and give him a hug. But after, Nick will say they have nothing to talk about. “Why are you here?” And he’ll suspect she’s there because of Matt.
Phyllis will say he disappeared and she thinks his father and brother have something to do with it. “If Matt has vanished then I’m thrilled, good riddance!” Nick will reply. “My fear is that some day you’re going to be alone with this guy and you’ll see what he is truly capable of.”
Then Marie Kirkland (Jade Harlow) will interrupt them. She’ll thank Nick for talking her off the ledge the other day. “What ledge?” Phyllis will ask. Nick will introduce them and Marie will apologize for barging in. “You found a friend,” Phyllis will say to Nick, after Marie leaves. He’ll say she’s an addict like him, who wants support. “How is my protection of Matt any different than this woman?” Phyllis will ask.
But Nick will tell her he’s just trying to prevent her from getting hurt and will say Matt’s disappeared before. “He came back as Carter Mills and Mitch Bacall, they’re all evil, all of them,” he’ll add. “You better pray that this guy is who you think he is or all of us are in a world of trouble.”
Finally, Matt will walk in front of Patty’s prison cell, a guard behind him. “You’ve got ten minutes,” he’ll tell Matt. Then Patty will spot him. “I knew you wouldn’t be able to stay away,” she’ll say. But has Matt really changed, or is he cooking up a plot with Patty?
