Y&R Daily Scoop – Lily Asks Cane If She Should Let Chancellor Go
Lily will storm off and end up at Society. She’ll tell Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) what happened. “If Billy wants a fight then that’s what we’ll bring to him,” he’ll say. Cane will add that he’ll always be on her side. Lily will say her brother and cousin think she should give up. “You would tell me, if you thought I should let this go?” she’ll ask. Cane will tell her to use him, he’ll help her keep the company.

Meanwhile, Sally will show up at the GCAC to meet Billy and he’ll spill his conversation with Lily. She’ll ask if it’s worth the fight. But he’ll say the Abbotts own Chancellor. “And I’m gonna take what’s mine.” Sally will remind them he’s got a baby on the way and a wedding to plan. “Seeing you like this it really worries me.”
Billy will say once he has control of Chancellor it’ll just be a regular day job. But he needs to go to the source of the deception, his mother. “Do you really think a big confrontation is the answer right now?” she’ll ask. Then a stressed-out Sally will double over, clutching her belly. “It’s sharp, it’s really sharp,” she’ll tell him. So Billy will call 911.
At Crimson Lights, Phyllis will ask Sharon if they could talk about Matt. But she’ll say it worries her that she spends time with him. Phyllis will say she thinks Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) has done something to him. She’ll add that she went to see Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and asked him about it.
Sharon will wonder why she’d ask Nick about the man who tried to ruin his life. “What’s the matter with you?” She’ll tell Phyllis she used to see through people’s facades and suggest she’s just lonely. She’ll ask why she cares about Matt. “I care because Matt is missing and I’m the only one who cares about him,” Phyllis will reply.
“Even if he has reformed, he is not the answer,” Sharon will tell her. “Whatever you’re looking for, he can’t give it to you.” Then Lauren Fenmore (Tracey E Bregman) will show up and also try to talk Phyllis out of her relationship with Matt.
Young And The Restless Scoop – Matt Writes Phyllis A Dear John Letter
Speaking of the former villain, he’ll tell Patty he’s sorry he dropped her. “I used to think we were like the same person, I came because of that.” He knows she was looking for a friend and he wasn’t there for her. “If I had been there I might have been able to talk you out of doing some of the things that you did.”

Patty will say sometimes loneliness drives people. Matt will ask that since she changed back to what she was, will he change back too. “What happened Patty, you said you wanted to be harmless and then you tried to kill two people?” he’ll add. “I wonder, am I gonna snap someday soon?”
Patty will tell him deep down, the man he was is still the man he is. “With each rejection and insult, that hope for a new life, it just dies, all that’s left inside of you is evil.” Matt will say he doesn’t want to do anything evil ever again. “It’s not a matter of if, it’s a matter of when,” she’ll reply.
Finally, Matt will return to his hotel room. “Evil,” he’ll say. “You’re just evil.” He’ll sit at a desk and write a note to Phyllis, thanking her for being so kind. “But this is the last time you’ll hear from me.” He’ll continue that if the evil inside him ever woke up, he might hurt her and that’s not a chance he’s willing to take.
But then he’ll crumple up the note and start crying. As he looks out his hotel room window, he’ll call Phyllis. She’ll quickly answer and ask Matt where he’s been. “Phyllis, I really need you,” an emotional Matt will respond. But can she help him?
