The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Tuesday, May 19 reveals Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) will learn all about his sordid past.
Also coming up, Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will implore Devon Winters (Bryton James) to forgive himself. Plus, Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) will break up an argument between Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and Christine Romalotti (Lauralee Bell). And Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) will kiss Matt.
Y&R spoilers tease Phyllis will tell Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) she’ll be the hero for Matt getting locked up. But Sharon will demand to know where he is. “He wants me dead Phyllis, and Noah and Nick.” But Phyllis will say she has it under control.
Y&R Daily Scoop – Mariah Says She Saw Ian And It Felt Very Real
At the psych facility, Devon will push a card across the table and Mariah will open it. It’s from Dominic Winters (Ethan Ray Clark). Mariah will add it gives her the chance to once again say how deeply sorry she is. Devon will say he has everyone in his life telling him to forgive her, and deal with his anger. “I’m sorry to say that nothing’s changed for me.”
Devon will add he’ll never forget learning it was her that took Dominic. “You took my son, you did it to your friend!” he’ll exclaim. “I can barely look at you because I want you to experience just a fraction of the pain you put me through.” Mariah will say he doesn’t need her permission to be angry but he has it. She’ll add she wasn’t going to hurt Dom.
“He’s asked repeatedly to see you since you went away,” Devon will admit. And he’ll say he needs to know why she did it. Mariah will tell him she lost connection with reality and for some reason Dominic became a light that would lead her out of the darkness.
“Part of me knew it was wrong but there was a stronger part that was telling me it was necessary,” she’ll add. She’ll say she saw Ian Ward (Ray Wise) and he felt very real. “Coming here and working through this stuff is the only way to move forward.”
Devon will get angry. He’ll say his wife and son were in the backyard playing and then she took him. He should have called the police immediately but he didn’t. “Don’t blame yourself, I did this, not you,” Mariah will reply. “Please, don’t let the anger suck you in.” Devon will say he’ll do his best to forgive her. “What I really need you to do is just please forgive yourself,” she’ll reply.
Meanwhile, Christine will ask Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) why he’s letting Phyllis force his hand. “What does it matter if Phyllis has Matt, as long as you wind up getting him?” he’ll reply, asking if they have a deal. Christine will say she needs to make sure Nick can deliver Matt first.
Young And The Restless Scoop – Patty Gets Up And Gives Matt A Kiss
“That sounds totally fair,” he’ll reply. Nick will head out end up at Crimson Lights. He’ll tell Sharon and Noah Newman (Lucas Adams) about the deal he made with Phyllis. But Sharon will wonder why Nick’s willing to hand Matt to the cops, when he was planning to kill him. Nick will say he’ll let the cops handle him.
Back at the GCAC, Daniel will walk in and ask Christine if she’s heard from his dad. She’ll say he left for Europe on a tour and he’ll hear from him soon. Christine will leave and won’t be pleased to run into Phyllis, who’s walking into the lobby.
“Oh look who it is,” she’ll say to Cricket. “The witch finder general.” Daniel will walk over and ask if it would be possible for the two of them to work on a compromise. But Phyllis will tell Cricket she’s going to lose and storm upstairs.
She’ll knock on Matt’s door and he’ll answer. “Where have you been?” she’ll ask. Then she’ll spot Patty and ask what she’s doing there. Patty will say they’re friends and she’ll accuse Phyllis of planning to stab Matt in the back. Matt will ask Phyllis why she lied.
“You said you didn’t know the Newmans but you were married to one?” he’ll add. “Why would you play games with my mind like that?” Phyllis will apologize and say it was a distant part of her past. Patty will tell him not to trust her but Matt will say he does. Phyllis will say she’ll tell him who he is, but not in front of Patty. So Patty will get up, kiss Matt on the cheek, and leave.
Phyllis will tell Matt he’s tried to kill members of the Newman family and he’s guilty of assault and rape. But he won’t believe it. He’ll flip out and Phyllis will start to walk out. “Please don’t leave me right now,” Matt will beg her. He’ll say he doesn’t feel safe and needs to leave town. “I can’t let you do that,” Phyllis will reply.
