The Young And the Restless (Y&R) scoop for Friday, June 26 reveals Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will tell her children she’s gone blind.
Also coming up, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will jump into action. Plus, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will come up with a plan. And Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) is certain Dr. Laurence Markham (Jere Burns) is in cahoots with Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk).
Y&R spoilers tease Nikki’s children and her granddaughter will gather around her hospital bed. She’ll say she knows her vision is deteriorating. Victor will stand by the door, tears in his eyes. He’ll leave the room and a minute later Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will follow him.
“You’re not leaving are you?” Claire will ask. But Victor will say he thinks it’s best if Nikki doesn’t know he’s been there. Plus, he’s headed out to meet with Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and Dr. Stephanie Simmons (Vivica A. Fox) about a brain surgeon.
Y&R Daily Scoop – Victor Tears Up Over His Beloved Nikki’s Plight
At Society, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will run into Nate and Stephanie. Nate will break the news to her that Nikki has a medical emergency. “She may go blind.” Lily will ask how they know and he’ll tell her about the mass on her optic nerve.
“The Newmans must be devastated,” she’ll reply. “This reminds me of when my dad lost his eyesight.” Victor will show up and Stephanie will tell him Dr. Nottingham can come to Genoa City today. So, he’ll say he’s sending the Newman jet for her. Lily and Nate will tell Victor they’ll be praying for Nikki.
Back in Nikki’s room, she’ll have her eyes shut. Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will say if she needs to sleep he can go. But Nikki will tell him she’s afraid to open her eyes. Claire and Victoria will return and Victoria will admit she told Victor.
Then she’ll get a call from her father. He’ll tell Victoria a top notch doctor from New York City is on her way to the hospital. After she hangs up, she’ll tell her mother a brain surgeon is on the way. “It was dad,” she’ll add. “He did this for you mom.“
But later, Victoria will be devastated when Nikki tells her it might be too late for surgery, just as Victor walks back into her room. “I can’t see,” she’ll say. “I can’t see anything, my eyesight is gone.”
Meanwhile, Jack will meet up with Kyle at Crimson Lights to go over their plan. “How do we get Dr. Markham out of his house?” Jack will ask. Kyle will say they take a direct approach. “Give me his number, I’ll call him.” Kyle will say he’ll keep Jack’s name out of it, so as not to alert Patty.
Young And The Restless Scoop – Diane Puts On Emotional Show For Him
The doctor won’t pick up so Kyle will leave a voicemail, saying he followed him and saw his mother through the window of his house. And if he doesn’t hear back from him, he’s calling the police.
At Dr. Markham’s place, Diane will ask why he’d lie to her. He’ll say he’s not. “Who were you on the phone with?” Diane will reply and ask if he was talking to Patty. Again he’ll lie and say it was her husband. “Why are you doing this?” she’ll say. “I told you this was my worst nightmare.”
Then she’ll accuse him of working with Patty and the two of them orchestrating this whole thing. But the doctor will tell Diane he was at her home and met with Jack. When he describes the living room, she’ll realize he actually was there. Dr. Markham will say Patty let herself in with a key and she and Jack seemed enamored with each other. “Jack feels it would probably be best if you both moved on,” he’ll add.
Diane will start weeping. “How could he do this to me?!” she’ll exclaim. However, viewers will hear Diane’s internal monologue. “Jack would never move on with Patty,” she’ll think to herself, realizing the doctor and Patty are in it together. “But why would Jack let her get away with it, what is he up to?”
She’ll stand up and put on a show for him, freaking out and crying. Diane will ask Laurence if this is how she was when he found her. “Oh please Laurence, I need your help, something to help me sleep, please?” Diane will leave the room and the doctor will listen to the message from Kyle. He’ll call him back and say maybe they should talk. Kyle will ask him to meet at Crimson Lights.
Finally, Kyle will tell his father the doctor’s on his way to the coffee shop. So, Jack will tell him now’s the perfect time for him to head to Dr. Laurence’s house. He’ll leave through the patio and the camera will zoom out, showing Patty eavesdropping. But what is she going to do?
