The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Thursday, July 23 reveals Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will make a stunning admission to Sharon Newman (Sharon Case).
Also coming up, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) will buy Newman Media from Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope). Plus, Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) will lean on Holden Novak (Nathan Owens). And Nick will tell Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) to leave town with Matt Clark (Roger Howarth).
Y&R spoilers tease Sharon will walk into the coffee shop and tell Nick she has things to handle, so if he can sit tight, she’ll talk to him in a bit. Nick will look worried and his leg will be twitching. Then he’ll get a text from his former drug dealer.
Y&R Daily Scoop – An Angry Nick Tells Phyllis To Leave With Matt
Phyllis will walk in and Nick will confront her. “How was your night last night, with Matt?” he’ll ask. Phyllis will tell him he was a lunatic, pounding on her door. “I don’t need a chaperone, my relationship with Matt has nothing to do with you.” Nick will tell Phyllis she’s gone off the deep end.
“Are you jealous?” Phyllis will ask and he’ll deny it. “How could someone like you get taken in by someone like him?” he’ll add. But Phyllis will ask why he cares if Matt sticks around. Nick will say if she likes him so much, why doesn’t she leave town too. And Phyllis will tell him she’s not going anywhere and neither is Matt.
Sharon will come out and hear the end of their conversation. She’ll ask Nick if he’s okay. “Far from it,” he’ll reply. Nick will say his mom got her bandages off and still can’t see. “She shouldn’t be going through this.” Then he’ll start ranting about the fact that Matt is still in town, because of his dad.
“I just feel like if I had one more pill, everything would be golden,” he’ll admit. “It’s all I think about.” Sharon will ask what she can do. He’ll say the dealer tried to hit him up earlier but he didn’t respond. “I think I need to go to rehab.”
Meanwhile, Claire will run into Holden. She’ll tell him her grandmother still can’t see and her whole family is reeling. Holden will tell her he’s sorry. Then she’ll complain about Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) chipper attitude.
Claire will tell him her mom doesn’t want to deal with the fact that her grandmother may never see again. “She’s been relentlessly positive and optimistic,” she’ll add. “It feels kind of forced.” And she worries it could be putting pressure on her grandmother.
Young And The Restless Scoop – Audra And Sally Meet Adam And Chelsea
At the GCAC, Sally will tell Audra that Adam told her Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) not going to buy back Newman Media, but Adam will. Audra will ask if he has Victor’s okay and Sally will say no. “I think this is the only way the deal goes through,” she’ll add.
Audra will ask why she’d trust Adam and she’ll say he made the offer. She’ll add she thinks it’s their best worst option. “Victor may never stop coming after Newman Media.” So, Audra will say fine. But she doubts that Adam’s promise will be much different from every other promise he’s made her.
At Society, Chelsea will be shocked that Adam offered to buy back Newman Media and she’ll ask if he ever considered what she might want. “You didn’t even tell me about this plan.” Adam will say the offer was spontaneous. “You should have run it by me, we make decisions together.”
He’ll tell her he’s sorry, he should have come to her first. “Have you even thought about how Victor’s going to react?” Chelsea will ask. Adam will tell her the deal includes a non disclosure agreement, which means he won’t tell Victor he’s paying for it. “It’ll look like a coup and Victor will be impressed.”
Then Sally will call Adam and when he gets off the phone, he and Chelsea head over to the GCAC to meet with Sally and Audra, who will say she has her reservations. “Adam’s done this in good faith,” Chelsea will tell her. Both Sally and Audra will end up signing the deal. But afterwards, Audra will ask Sally how Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) is going to feel about this.
Finally, Adam and Chelsea will visit Victor at the ranch. Adam will tell his father Newman Media will soon be theirs again. “What did you do?” Victor will reply. But is The Mustache going to buy Adam’s story about how he reacquired the company?
