The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Friday, May 29 reveals Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will threaten to end Matt Clark (Roger Howarth).
Also coming up, Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) news will set off alarm bells with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman). Plus, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will gather. And Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will face off with Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk).
Y&R spoilers tease Kyle will tell his father he’s worried about his mom. No one has seen or heard from her. But Jack will say things have changed and Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) has become unpredictable. Kyle will point out that she missed his son’s play. She’d even helped him rehearse his lines, so there’s no way she’d bail on him.
Y&R Daily Scoop – Patty Reminds Them Diane Vanished For Years
At Crimson Lights, Patty and Phyllis will go at. “Everybody knows what you’ve done Patty, the only one you can con is Matt,” Phyllis will tell her. “And he doesn’t even know who he is himself.” But Patty will say she’s ruining Matt’s life when she is just trying to save it. Phyllis will tell her she’s nasty and ask if she’s putting on a show for Jack. “He’s known for years that you’re crazy.”
Then Jack and Kyle will walk in. “Patty,” Jack will say. “What did you do to Diane?” Phyllis will be taken aback to hear Diane is missing and she’ll leave. Patty will say she has no idea where she is. But she’s sure his feelings for her will flood back in, now that Diane is out of the way.
Jack will ask what she means by that. “Can’t you see the truth?” she’ll ask Jack and Kyle, pointing out Diane disappeared for years. “You have to accept the fact that she has left the two of you again and probably for good.”
Meanwhile, the Newman family will gather at the ranch, relieved to see Nick and see that he’s all right. “I have one thing that I wanna say,” Victoria will tell her brother. “What the hell were you thinking?” Nick will promise her he’s going to get help. But then he’ll turn to his father. “Where the hell is Matt?” he’ll ask.
Victor will say he’s in a secure location on the ranch. Adam will ask Nick what happened the night before and describe what went down. Sharon will say he collapsed and died. But Phyllis and Matt resuscitated him. “Matt Clark saved my life?” he’ll ask. “I’m supposed to believe that?” Victor will say Matt jumped into action and it worked.
“It was one shocking moment after another,” Sharon will add. Adam will say it’s insane. Nikki will pipe in that she doesn’t care who saved Nick, she’s just grateful he’s alive. Victor will say the man he saw in his office was not the same man who laughed in their faces. Sharon will tell them Matt seemed harmless. “No snark, no spite, and what seemed like a genuine desire to help.”

But Adam will say it’s time to deal with Matt. “He doesn’t remember who he is,” Nick will reply. “I’m wondering what qualifies as justice.” Adam will say they need to stop debating this and deal with Matt. Victoria will suggest they hand him over to Detective Burrow (Matt Cohen). But Nick won’t want to and he’ll tell Victor he needs to see Matt face to face and he’ll agree to it.
After Nick, Victor and Adam walk out, Phyllis will arrive. Nikki and Victoria will thank her for saving Nick. But she’ll say it was mostly Matt. “He wanted to save Nick, he really did.” Nikki will ask her what happens now and Phyllis will say she just wants to see Nick.
In the den, Adam and Victor will sit in front of a chess board. Adam will ask his father if he still wants to put Phyllis behind bars. “You know, when I thought your brother was dead,” he’ll reply. “I would have given a thousand empires to bring him back.”
Finally, Nick will walk into Victor’s weight room and come face to face with his nemesis. Matt will say Phyllis told him about the horrible things he’s done and he gets flashes. But he can’t remember anything. “Does one good deed cancel out all of the other things that I’ve done?” he’ll ask Nick. He’ll also say that if he wants to kill him, he won’t do anything to stop him.
“But I hope that me saving you takes me one step closer to saving my own soul.” Nick will say he could end him and he’d still have that stupid expression on his face. “Where is the justice if you don’t remember?” Then he’ll start hitting the punching bag and he’ll run over to Matt, grab him and put his fist in front of his face, as Matt winces. But will Nick actually kill him?
