The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Monday, August 17 reveals Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) plans to go to war with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson).
Also coming up, Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) will seek out an alliance. Plus, Dr. Stephanie Simmons (Vivica A. Fox) will arrange for Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) to meet with a surgeon. And Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will spill the beans to Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) and Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland).
Y&R spoilers tease Stephanie will show up at Nate’s place and he’ll talk about the surgery he could have on his hand. “If all goes well, I’m thinking about returning to medicine.” Stephanie will ask what changed his mind. “You did,” he’ll reply.
Nate will add she inspired him, she has such a passion for what she does and everyone at the hospital raves about her. “You have literally breathed new life into that place.” Stephanie will tell him the surgery has been highly successful but there are a number of patients it doesn’t work for.
Y&R Daily Scoop – Nate And Stephanie Celebrate His Big Decision
She’ll suggest they celebrate his decision at Society. “How about we celebrate it here, where I can cook for you?” Nate will reply. He’ll head to the kitchen and Stephanie will call the surgeon and leave a message about Nate. She’ll call back and Stephanie will tell him the surgeon’s going to fly into Chicago to meet with him.
At Society, Lily will tell Billy he’s fired. He can return the files he took and vacate the premises. “You don’t get it, you don’t own Chancellor, you never did,” he’ll reply. Cane will tell him he’s delusional. But Lily will say she’d love to hear why he thinks the Abbott family owns Chancellor.
Billy will be adamant that he was able to find irrefutable proof. “By the end of the day, we will have the ammo to take full possession.” He’ll add that Lily was right, it is time to vacate the premises. “Only it won’t be me leaving, it’ll be you two.” So, he’ll tell Cane and Lily what he found and they won’t believe him.
Billy will say his lawyers are checking into it, adding the contract was never terminated. “The bottom line is, the loan was never paid back,” he’ll tell them. “A truth that was meant to stay buried, until I found it.” Cane will ask why Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) would keep it a secret and Billy will say for a payday, from Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).
He’ll tell Cane that it’s further proof that his beloved mother is only out for herself. Then Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) will walk in and Cane will meet him at the bar. Lily will tell Billy all she sees is his smug face telling them what he believes to be true. “If you go through with this, you’re going to lose everything that matters to you, I promise you that.” And she’ll storm off.
Young And The Restless Scoop – Ashley Says It Could Be A Gift To Billy
Meanwhile, Traci and Ashley will meet Jack in his office. “We as a family may be richer than we thought,” he’ll say and lay out what Billy told him. “You’re saying that we own Katherine’s company?” a shocked Ashley will ask. “According to Billy we do,” Jack will reply. He’ll add that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) is currently meeting with their attorneys.
Traci will ask if he wants to pursue this and Jack will say no. “But your little brother feels otherwise.” Traci will say Lily and Cane are close friends of hers and she doesn’t want to do this to them. Jack will tell them Billy’s sure Jill knew about it, which is why she sold Chancellor to Victor. “To protect that secret from ever getting out.”
Ashley will say this could be a found gift from a father to a son. And Traci will point out they didn’t see how much damage Jill has done, by unseating Billy and selling the company to Victor. “Clearly he needs to run Chancellor to feel complete,” Ashley will add. Jack will ask if she’s siding with Billy. She’ll say she’s not condoning it, but he should just let Billy deal with this on his own and Traci will agree.
But Jack will say he’s not going to let Billy ruin their father’s reputation. “That’s why I’m going to stop him, before he goes too far.” Ashley and Traci will tell him to back away for his own well-being. So, Jack will say they’re right. Then Cane will call and say he urgently needs to meet with him. Jack will say he’s at his office.
Finally, Cane will arrive at Jabot. He’ll be happy to see Traci there and call her the voice or reason. Then he’ll urge Jack, Traci and Ashley to do whatever they can to stop their brother. “Because if Billy moves forward with this, we will all regret it.”
