The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Wednesday, September 2 reveals Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will be stunned by Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) news.
Also coming up, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will come to Matt Clark’s (Roger Howarth) rescue. Plus, Lauren Fenmore (Tracey E. Bregman) and Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) will discuss Phyllis. And Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) will make an admission to Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope).
Y&R spoilers tease Lauren will tell Michael that Phyllis showed up for their meeting. But then took off for imminent disaster to meet Matt. “Phyllis has been so lonely lately,” Lauren will add. “It makes sense she would cling to this man.” But Michael will say he’s still Matt Clark.

“Her devotion to a man with this kind of sinister background?” Lauren will reply. “It can only mean trouble for her.” Michael will say what if, due to Phyllis being the only source of support for Matt, she’s on the verge of performing a miracle.
At Crimson Lights, Sally will tell Billy she’s fine, the doctor confirmed it. But she’ll say the stress of the Chancellor situation didn’t help. “I’ve tried to be supportive but I’ve had literal nightmares about losing this baby,” Sally will add. “Something’s gotta give, and it’s gotta give now.”
Billy will admit he was pretty scared when he took her to the hospital. Sally will say she gets stressed out when he gets stressed out. He’ll realize she wants him to give up the fight for Chancellor. “Can you do that, for all of our sakes?” Sally will ask.
So, he’ll say he’s going to give up for a couple of months, until after their baby is born. Then Audra will show up and ask if Sally’s okay. Billy will say he needs to do something and he’ll head out. Sally will explain to Audra that it was called round ligament pain. But she thought she was losing the baby.
She’ll worry Audra is remembering her own loss. Audra will admit she thought of the baby and also Noah Newman (Lucas Adams). She felt there was still a connection between them. “It’s too late now, Noah’s gone Sally and it’s not like he went to LA alone.”
Talk will turn to Billy. Sally will tell Audra he’s agreed to put Chancellor on the backburner. “Selfishly, I was hoping he’d give it up permanently,” she’ll add. But she hopes once the baby’s born he’ll decide it was never worth it to begin with.
Young And The Restless Scoop – Phyllis Says He’s Nothing Like Patty
At Lily’s condo, Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) will tell her they need to relax. Then their offscreen daughter will call and he’ll talk to her. After he hangs up, he’ll ask Lily if they’re a couple again. She’ll say they’re in a good place. They’ll cuddle on the couch, about to watch a movie, and Billy will show up.
“I just left the hospital, Sally and the baby had an emergency,” he’ll say. “It’s nothing serious but scared the hell out of us.” Billy will admit he doesn’t need any stress or drama in his life and he’s giving up Chancellor. “You can keep it.” Once he leaves, Cane will say as soon as the baby’s born, he’ll be back for Chancellor. Lily will tell him they’ll keep digging to see if there’s anything else they can find.
Meanwhile, Phyllis will arrive at Matt’s hotel room. “What are you doing in this awful place?” she’ll ask him. He’ll say he had all kinds of terrible thoughts in his head. Phyllis will ask how she can help him. But he’ll tell her he doesn’t think there’s anything anyone can do.
She’ll get up to grab him a bottle of water and find the crumpled up letter he wrote her. “What is this, were you saying goodbye?” Phyllis will ask. Matt will say he was going through a lot. So he thought he should talk to someone. “I went to see Patty Williams.”
Phyllis will tell him she must have loved it. Matt will say she told him the evil streak in him isn’t going anywhere and they are alike. “You are nothing alike, she’s a psycho, a monster, you are actually kind and showing regret and remorse,” Phyllis will reply. “I’m gonna change this for you, you are not alone, I’m with you every step of the way.”
Finally, Matt will ask why she wants to help him so much. “Maybe I’m falling for you and I don’t want to lose you,” Phyllis will reply. He’ll say it feels very nice to be around her, like the world is safe again. They’ll kiss and then Phyllis and Matt will make love.
