The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Friday, August 22 reveals Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) won’t believe Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver).
Also coming up, Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) will give Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) an assignment. Plus, Devon Winters (Bryton James) and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will catch up.
Y&R spoilers tease Phyllis will show up on Cane’s choo choo train. He’ll ask if her showing up whenever she pleases will be a regular thing. “Was this just a long build up to nothing?” she’ll ask. “Are you going to shatter my dreams?” Phyllis will add it feels like it’s all changed. However, Cane will say it hasn’t.
Y&R Daily Scoop – Lily Feels All She Does Is Complain About Cane
Phyllis will ask if he’s heard from his (offscreen) kids. He hasn’t and doesn’t want to launch his plan until he talks to them. So, Phyllis will volunteer to forge ahead and ask him to give her a project. “What do you know about artificial intelligence?” Cane will ask. She’ll say AI is exciting but also very scary. Cane will say he needs her to become an expert at it.
At Society, Devon will ask Lily why she’s so distracted. She’ll say she feels like all she’s been doing is complaining about Cane. Ya think, Lily? Regardless, she’ll ask Devon how Nate is doing. He’ll tell her he’s not good.
Lily will say it’s understandable, he just buried his brother. “It’s more than that,” Devon will reply. “Audra. There’s things that have come to light about her and it couldn’t come at a worse time.” Lily will say the good news is maybe he’s starting to realize who Audra really is.
Then she’ll say she finally talked to her (offscreen) kids. They were mad at her for not telling her the truth. “They’re devastated, I don’t know how they’ll ever be able to forgive him.” So, Devon will say he knows what they’re going through and he’ll talk to them. No doubt that conversation will also be offscreen.
Meanwhile, Nate will continue to grill Audra, who will continue lying. “I don’t believe you,” he’ll say. “You just decided to walk away from Vibrante?” She’ll say it’s the truth. “No, not the Audra I know,” Nate will reply.
Then he’ll give her one last chance to come clean. “And if you lie to me again, I’m outta here.” But Audra will ask if he’s willing to blow it all up over a rumor. “It sounds to me like you already made up your mind,” she’ll say and get up to leave. “For the last time, nothing happened in Nice.”
Young And The Restless Scoop – Nate Lets Cane’s Hand Hang In The Air
Nate will beg her to give him something. But once again, Audra will double down on her lie. She’ll ask if he’s accusing her of taking a deal from Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) to break up Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Claire Newman (Hayley Erin). “Is that what you did Audra?” Nate will reply.
She’ll try to leave but Nate will stop her. Audra will ask why she should stick around, to be called a whore and a liar by a man who supposedly loves her. “Goodbye Nate,” she’ll say. “This is your loss.” Audra will storm out, just as Cane walks inside the coffee house.
He’ll approach Nate and put his hand out to shake. But Nate will leave it hanging there. Cane tell him he’s sorry about Damian Kane (Jermaine Rivers). But Nate will say his brother and Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) would both be alive if it wasn’t for him.
“So what are we supposed to do about it Cane, just move on?” Nate will say if he feels guilty about Damian and Chance, he should, and he’ll leave. He’ll end up at Society and tell Devon he pushed Audra and she gave him more of the same song and dance. “So how did you end it?” Devon will ask. “I didn’t, she did,” Nate will reply.
As for Cane, he’ll talk to Esther Valentine (Kate Linder) then sit down and wait for his double espresso. He’ll get a message from Charlie saying he and Maddie never want to talk to him again. Lily will walk in and a teary-eyed Cane will show her the message.
Finally, Phyllis will sit on a bench at Chancellor Park, reading about AI on her tablet. Then Audra will walk by. “Hey Audra, I heard you crashed and burned again,” Phyllis will say. “I heard your company folded before it even hit the ground. What did you call it…Vibrator?”
Audra will grimace and Phyllis will say she feels terrible that Nate lost his brother. And Audra will make a face. So, Phyllis will ask if Nate found out about the flirtation with her and Kyle. “I think Nate is a great guy, one of the best,” she’ll add. “And I think he deserves a lot better than you.”
