The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Friday, May 20 reveals many Genoa City residents will be heading to the south of France in June.
Also coming up, Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) birthday bash will begin. Plus, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will reveal her romantic history to Damian Kane (Jermaine Rivers).
Y&R spoilers tease Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) will ask Devon Winters (Bryton James) if Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) is going to set up the meeting with Dumas. He’ll say he hasn’t heard anything yet.
Lily will walk in and Devon will ask why she’s not going to the party. What happened with Chancellor still stings, Lily will admit. So, she’s not going to Nikki’s party. “I’d rather just have dinner alone.” Then Damian will stroll up. “I can help you with the alone part,” he’ll tell Lily.
Y&R Daily Scoop – Nikki Gets Yet Another Special Gift From Victor
Abby and Devon will head to the party and Damian will hand Lily a a black envelope. “This just got delivered to my hotel suite,” Damian will say, handing it to her. “It’s an invitation, from Aristotle Dumas.”
Damian will add that Dumas is having a party, in the south of France, that kicks off on Friday, June 13. So, it looks like viewers will now have to wait until at least mid June to learn the identity of Dumas. Then Lily will receive her own invitation to Dumas’ estate.
She and Damian will talk about their romantic pasts. Damian will admit he’s dated but never been in love. Lily will bring up Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) and Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard), who she shares two children with. Perhaps a Cane mention is a clue to Dumas’ identity?
Meanwhile, the Abbotts will have a drink, before heading to the birthday bash. “I’m sorry to hear Aunt Traci won’t be joining us,” Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will say. Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) will tell him she’s not up to being in public.
Kyle will ask Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) to refrain from antagonizing Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), since one of Claire’s goals is to get him to accept them as a couple. “I promise to be on my best behavior,” Jack will say. Then someone will come to the door and give him a black envelope. His mouth will open as he reads it.
At the ranch, Nikki will walk downstairs, in a shimmering gold gown. Victor will tell her she looks stunning. But before they leave for her party, he has another present for her. She’ll open the box and a key will be inside. Victor will say it’s a fully restored Ferrari, a car Nikki has wanted since she was young.
Young And The Restless Scoop – Nick And Victoria Raise A Glass To Mom
Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will arrive with a gift, from him and Victoria. It’s a jewelry box. And it’s filled with memories from the two of them. Nick will say it’s a reminder of how much her kids love and adore her.
Then Nick will hand them black envelopes. He’ll say they were waiting for them at the main gate. They’ll read the invitations and Nikki will say it’s odd. “What do you make of it?” she’ll ask Victor. But he’ll say it can wait, they need to get to her party.
At the Jazz Club, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will look around and tell Pietro (Jai Rodriguez) he is incredible. Not surprisingly, he’ll praise Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) and her great ideas.
Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) and Lauren Fenmore (Tracey E. Bregman) will be the first guests to arrive. Victoria will hand them both black envelopes and say they arrived for them. They’ll be surprised that they’ve been invited to Dumas’ private party in the French Riviera.
Abby and Devon will arrive and Ashley, Jack and Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) will arrive shortly after. Abby will greet her mom and Diane will congratulate Michael on quitting his job with Victor.
Lauren will say she convinced Michael to go to Italy and Jack will say he and Diane are heading there too. Then Michael will mention Dumas’ invite. Jack and Diane will say they were invited too. Nick will arrive with Sharon Newman (Sharon Case). And Esther Valentine (Kate Linder) will be there too.
Finally, the guest of honor will arrive. Victoria will say a few words and everyone will toast Nikki. Once again it’ll be another pretty dull episode. It wraps up, in this writer’s opinion, one of Y&R’s worst May sweeps in recent memory. Hopefully, the drama will pick up in June, with the Dumas reveal.
