The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Thursday, May 29 reveals Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) will ask Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) for a leave of absence from Jabot.
Also coming up on table talk, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will reveal her plans to Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei). And Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) will remain delusional about winning Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) approval of her relationship with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor).
Y&R spoilers tease Harrison Locke (Redding Munsell) will run some wild gift ideas for his grandma by Kyle and Claire, at the park. When Kyle gently quashes them, Harrison will ask Claire what presents she got people when she was a kid. Cue the melancholy music.
Claire will say she didn’t grow up with her mom and dad (boo hoo) and poor little Harrison will apologize. “Witches don’t deserve presents,” he’ll say, referencing Claire’s Aunt Jordan (Colleen Zenk), and she’ll agree.
Y&R Daily Scoop – Another Mind-Numbing Discussion About Victor
They’ll go back to his gift ideas and he’ll decide to make a book for Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott). Harrison will go over to a table to think of ideas for it. Then Kyle and Claire will have a mind-numbing discussion about how she thinks Nikki’s party will change her grandfather’s mind about him. Good luck with that.
At the Abbott estate, Ashley will tease Jack, pretending to hate his wife’s renovations. But then she’ll smile. “You know what this means?” she’ll ask him. “It means I have to admit to Diane that she did a fabulous job.”
When Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) walks in, Ashley will tell her she did a lovely job. “Your approval means so much,” Diane will say. “Daddy would have liked it too,” Ashley will reply. “Thank you so much for giving our home the respect it deserves.”
But when Ashley asks for a moment alone with her brother, Diane’s nose will get out of joint. However, she’ll try to take it in stride and head to the office. “Something’s off with you,” Jack will say to his sister, as they sit at the dining room table. “Tell me what’s wrong.”
Ashley will tell him about how devastated Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) is and what they went through in New York. Not surprisingly, all of their sisterly bonding happened offscreen and viewers will only get to hear about it thirdhand.
“She needed me so much Jack,” Ashley will say to Jack. Then she started to wonder if she was the one who was stupid and naive and desperate. “Alan didn’t send me to that clinic, Martin did,” she’ll add. “So Traci’s questioning everything and I’ve been questioning everything too.”
Young And The Restless Scoop – Amanda Wants To Know If She’s Going
She’ll ask if she can take another leave of absence from Jabot and go back to the therapist in Paris. Jack will tell Ashley to take all the time she needs and he will look out for Traci. Then the brother and sister will embrace.
At Crimson Lights, Phyllis will tell Daniel she’s heading to DC with Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) to meet with Aristotle Dumas. When Phyllis won’t tell him what day and time she’s meeting him, he’ll ask if Dumas even knows about it.
Daniel will add that Dumas will probably think she’s a stalker. She’ll tell him her idea. “You and I running Chancellor, once he takes it away from Victor and Nikki.” Daniel will start laughing, until he sees Phyllis’ face. “Oh,” he’ll say. “You’re not kidding.”
Phyllis will say she isn’t. “You know what mom?” he’ll reply. “I think you’ve finally gone off the deep end.” But Phyllis will tell him Amanda is on board. Daniel will say he doesn’t want to be part of it and she can count him out.
Of course, Phyllis will be disappointed. “Is it me? Every time I come up with something, you run the other way.” But Daniel will tell her he’s just not ready. Talk will turn to her running Chancellor. She’ll say people in town use her for her brains and talent. “Do they respect me, no? If Dumas took over Chancellor and I ran it, everything would be different.”
Finally, Daniel will leave and Phyllis will get a text from Amanda, asking if she’s still coming to DC with her. “Dumas won’t know what hit him,” Phyllis will reply.
