Young And The Restless (Y&R) and General Hospital (GH) fans woke up to the heartbreaking news this morning that Billy Miller has died.
The Daytime Emmy Award winner passed away on September 15 at the age or 43, and only two days before his 44th birthday.
Miller began his soap opera career at All My Children, portraying Richie Novak from 2007 to 2009. In 2008, he landed the role of Billy Abbott on Y&R, a role in which he won three Daytime Emmy’s. He left the sudser in 2014 and moved over to GH, where he played Drew Cain/Jason Morgan until 2019.
Y&R’s Jason Thompson Paid Tribute To Billy Miller
“I’m so sorry and saddened to hear about my friend, Billy Miller,” said Jason Thompson, who currently portrays Billy Abbott on Y&R. “Heartbreaking. He was funny, had a great laugh and very talented. Light and love to his family and friends.”

Actor Michael Muhney, who portrayed Adam Newman on Y&R, paid tribute to his fellow Texan. “You lit up every room with your smile,” he posted. “Your quiet intensity onscreen was second only to your gentle kindness and genuine care in private.”
Miller’s former GH co-star Nancy Lee Grahn, who portrays Alexis Davis, was also devastated by the news. “So very sorry to hear this very sad and unexpected news,” she posted. “I would like very much for my beloved General Hospital to have no more of it.”

Fans also weighed in on the loss. “I can’t believe this. Rest in Peace Billy Miller,” one fan posted. “He played Billy Abbott on The Young and the Restless and recently on General Hospital. I’m in shock 🙁 what a great actor. May he rest in Peace. My condolences to his friends and family.”
