The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Wednesday, July 26 reveals Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will tell Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) to drop any fantasies he has about leading Newman Enterprises.
Also coming up, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will make amends with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). Plus, Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) will tell Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) her plan. And Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) will encourage Nate to take the next step with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle).
Y&R spoilers tease Billy will arrive at the Abbott estate and Diane will tell the brothers about her plan. She thinks they should have a huge, public fight that Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) and Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) witness. That way, they’ll think Billy and Jack are on the outs. “I see the angle, I get inside and I destroy them from within,” Billy will say. He likes the plan and wants to go ahead with it.

However, Jack will point out Billy has told Ashley he’s on his side. “We have a volatile past,” Billy will reply. “At the end of the day, all I have to say is that you’re obsessed with Diane, to the detriment of the company.” But Jack will ask him to promise he won’t get sucked in by Ashley and Tucker. Billy will get offended and Jack will apologize.
Later, Jack will tell Diane he hates the situation and he hates how it’s affecting her. Then he’ll have an idea. He wants to go to a justice of the peace and get married right away. They can have a party for their friends and family in September. “I mean it, let’s do this now,” he’ll say. “Let’s show the whole world how in love we are.”
In her suite, Sally will ask Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) for advice about Victor’s offer. And he’ll remind her she once said she’d never work for a Newman again. But she’ll tell him the dynamics have changed. “Victor’s offer gives us much more than the slow build at Chancellor-Winters,” she’ll say. “It’s everything that Chloe and I are looking for.”
Meanwhile, Audra will deliver a new suit to Nate’s suite. It’s a big week for him, since Victoria and her mother are out of town and Nate’s been left in charge. He’ll head to Crimson Lights and Adam will tell Nate he heard he’s steering the ship. But Nate will say he heard Adam wants his new company to absorb Newman Media. “What you’re planning will never happen,” he’ll tell Adam as he leaves.

Then Sally will show up and Adam will ask how her trip went. Sally will say she told her sister and grandmother about the night they lost their baby and the choice he had to make. They thought Sally should be less harsh with him and she agrees. “We both lost something the night Ava died,” she’ll admit. Sally will change the subject and tell Adam about Victor’s offer. But Adam will say Victor likely has some sort of self-serving agenda. Nick will arrive and Sally will tell them she’s going to consider taking Victor up on his offer.
As for Nate, he’ll head to the ranch to meet with Victor, who will say he doesn’t agree with Nick that Nate’s doing this purely out of self interest. “But one thing I can tell you – Newman Enterprises will never be led by anyone but a Newman,” Victor will continue. “I’m telling you this because it’s been a sticking point in the past, including with Neil.” So, he’ll advise Nate to disabuse himself of those fantasies. “It ain’t gonna happen.”
Finally, Nick will spot Nate sitting at the CEO desk and he’ll say he’s in charge while Victoria and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) are out of town. Nick will scowl and Nate will say he’s tired of being on the receiving end of his constant attacks. They’ll argue and Audra will show up after Nick leaves. Nate will tell her Victor made it clear a non-Newman will never be CEO. “You must solidify your relationship with Victoria,” Audra will advise. “Take things to the next level.”
