The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Friday, May 31 reveals Michael Baldwin (Christian Le Blanc) will find himself out of a job.
Also coming up, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will get under Diane Jenkins’ (Susan Walters) skin. Plus, Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will call a truce. And Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will understand Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) decision.
Y&R spoilers tease Jack will meet up with Nikki at Society. She’ll say she was going to share some news, but it starts off bad. “Jordan has been found, alive,” Nikki will tell him. “The last time I got news like this, it drove me straight to the bottle, but not this time.” Jack will say he’s proud of her, but he too has bad news.

“Are you trying to tell me you can no longer be my sponsor?” she ask. So, Jack will tell her Diane was terrified by what he did. Nikki will say he risked his sobriety for her and she’ll never forget it. “Please don’t feel guilty about this, I will find another sponsor and you will always remain my dearest friend.”
At the GCAC, Diane will see Victor and put her hand in front of her face. But he’ll walk over anyway. “Were you trying to hide from me?” he’ll ask her. Then he’ll tell Diane her husband put his wife in danger. “Jack ended up in more danger than Nikki,” she’ll reply. Diane will add that she thinks what her husband did was selfless.
“If I were you Diane, I’d take a very close, and cold, hard look at the man you’re married to, before he ruins your future,” Victor will say. He’ll quip that she’s allowed Jack to de-fang her. “I used to admire you, respect you, now I pity you.”
Then Michael will walk in and tell Victor that Jordan (Colleen Zenk) is in custody. He’ll ask Victor to sit down so they can have a drink. “Let me tell you something Michael Baldwin, you betrayed me, you’re fired,” Victor will reply. Then Michael will spot Diane. “It seems I’m out of a job,” he’ll say. “Wanna buy me a drink?”
Michael will tell Diane it’s not the first time he’s been fired by Victor and it probably won’t be the last. But he’ll ask what she and Victor were talking about and she’ll admit Victor’s angry with Jack. “He says that what Jack did was reckless and dangerous and blames him for putting Nikki at risk.” But she’ll add that she finds herself siding with Victor on this.
So, she’ll tell Michael about Jack taking the pills to snap Nikki out of her drunken stupor. “Nikki and Jack, they go way back,” Michael will reply. Diane will say she told Jack she’d walk away from their marriage if he didn’t back down from being Nikki’s sponsor. “He may resent you for putting him in that position,” Michael will tell her. “Remember, they have a profound relationship.”
Young And The Restless Scoop – Summer Offers Sally The Fashion Job
Meanwhile, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will vent to Summer about his mom. “As long as you’re not making underhanded moves behind her back, you should be fine,” she’ll say. But Kyle will make a face. “Kyle, what have you done?” Summer will ask. Kyle will say he closed a deal without Diane’s input but it hasn’t progressed because of his mom’s fragile ego.
However, Summer will remind him Diane is his boss. She’ll add it’s ironic because a lot of the issues they had in their marriage were because of her. Then Summer will head to the park and run into Sally. They’ll make small talk and Summer will bring up Chelsea Newman’s (Melissa Claire Egan) suggestion that Sally take over for her as Creative Director at Marchetti.
They’ll discuss their sordid history, but Summer will admit if Sally hadn’t done what she did, she wouldn’t be running Marchetti. “I’m not the same person I was when you first met me,” Summer will add. “You have the credentials, if you want the job, on an interim basis, it’s yours.”
At the Abbott estate, Victor will show up and visit with Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) and Harrison Locke (Redding Munsell). Kyle will arrive and Claire and Harrison will head into the kitchen. Victor will tell Kyle he has news about Jordan. She’s alive and in a maximum security prison.
Finally, talk will turn to Jabot and Victor will ask how it’s going there, considering he’s working under both his parents. “It must be hard to take orders from your mother,” Victor will add. “You should be in her position, you know that.” And when Diane arrives home, she and Kyle will get into yet another argument about Jabot.
