The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Wednesday, August 7 reveals Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) will be furious with Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters).
Also coming up, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will remind Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) he was given his mother’s shares. Plus, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will try to keep the peace between Summer and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). And Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will mourn the baby they lost.
Y&R spoilers tease Summer will come downstairs and tell Diane and Jack that Harrison Locke (Redding Munsell) is asleep. Diane will ask if he’s feeling better. Summer will say he’s asleep but she’s still worried. Then Kyle will walk in. “Where’s Harrison?” he’ll ask. “And what the hell did you let happen to my son?”
Y&R Daily Scoop – Billy Tells Lily It’s Not Her Call To Make
Summer will be shocked that Kyle has returned just because Harrison has a stomach flu. “How did you even hear about this?” she’ll ask and Diane will say she called him. Kyle will say luckily he was still in New York and hadn’t left for Paris yet and he’ll head upstairs to check on his son.
“I can’t believe that you called Kyle behind my back,” Summer will say to Diane. She’ll add that she can’t trust anyone around there anymore. “You just want to make me look bad, so Kyle has the upper hand in the custody battle.” Jack will tell Summer there isn’t a conspiracy to make her look bad. Then Kyle will come downstairs and tell Summer he’s home so she can go back to her suite.
But Jack will say she can stay in one of the guest rooms. Summer will go upstairs and Jack will tell Kyle this isn’t good for Harrison. “I hope you’re not blaming me,” Kyle will say to his dad. But then he’ll turn to Diane. “Thanks mom, I appreciate at least you thought to let me know.”
Meanwhile, Billy will ask Lily why she’d listen to others about their partnership. He’ll point out Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) only gunning for them because of his hatred. “It’s because of you,” Lily will reply. “You are the problem, so you need to go.” But Billy will say the company is not in danger.
“Who’s got you thinking this way, it’s a crazy decision and one you can’t actually make on your own,” he’ll point out. However, Lily will say he brings instability to everything he does. “I cannot let you take the company, and me, down with you.” So, Billy will ask what Victor said that made her turn on him.
“This is purely a business decision,” Lily will reply. But Billy will say Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) gave him his voting power. “This is not your call to make.” Lily will ask if he’d consider taking a low key position, behind the scenes.
Young And The Restless Scoop – Sally And Adam Grieve Together
“If you’re not on board, maybe you should be the one to walk away, I’m not going anywhere,” Billy will reply. He’ll end up at the GCAC and run into Devon Winters (Bryton James) and Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway). Billy will tell Devon to stop filling his sister’s head with lies and trying to ruin his career. “Keep your thoughts to yourself for once.”
Then Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will call Billy and say she and Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) are home. Billy will tell her he’s glad she’s back and they’ll plan to meet up in the morning. Then later, he’ll call Lily and tell her he has an idea.
Finally, Sally will wake up on the couch when Adam walks in. She’ll hide Ava’s little wool cap under a pillow. Adam will say Connor was so excited about coming home that he insisted on returning right away. But then he’ll notice something’s off and ask Sally what’s wrong.
She’ll lie and say nothing’s wrong, she just dozed off on the couch. He’ll head upstairs to change and Sally will hide the cap in a bag. When Adam comes back down, she’ll say she saw Billy at Society and he’s worried about Chelsea .
“I don’t know how much longer those two can last as a couple,” Adam will reply. But Sally will tell him that’s pretty harsh. Adam will say Billy always puts himself first. “I do hope their relationship crashes and burns, that way he won’t have any more influence on my son’s life.” Sally will tell him it’s not right to root for their relationship to fail. “Billy’s a ticking time bomb, wait and see,” Adam will reply.
Sally will head up to bed and Adam will say he’ll join her shortly. Then he’ll spot Ava’s pink cap and he’ll realize why Sally seemed off. “I’m so sorry,” he’ll say to Sally when she walks downstairs and the couple will embrace as they grieve their daughter.
