The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Friday, July 21 reveals Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) will face off with Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver).
Also coming up, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will suggest to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) that Audra is expendable as CEO of Newman Media. Plus, Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) will give Summer some relationship advice.
Y&R spoilers tease Chelsea will nervously await her first meeting with Summer. She’ll tell Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) the Creative Director position at Marchetti is going to be more a massive responsibility. But Billy will tell her to give herself a break. After all, she hasn’t even stepped in the office yet.

Meanwhile, Summer will spot Audra sitting at a GCAC table and she’ll ask her if Kyle was just a random hook-up, or if she’s after his money. “A little tacky, don’t you think,” Audra will reply. Summer will laugh. “The other woman calling me tacky,” she’ll reply. But Audra will say Kyle is a grown man who can make his own decisions. “Or is that something new? ” she’ll continue. “You clearly think Kyle can be controlled and manipulated.”
However, Summer will say she’s disgusted by both of them and the damage they’ve done. “Are you the victim here?” Audra will ask. “You thought you could do whatever you wanted and Kyle would be right there waiting for you.” Kyle will walk in and ask them what’s going on. Then Summer will lean on the table and tell Audra she should change her perfume because it’s really strong . “It smells cheap.” After Summer storms out, Audra will tell Kyle if he’s having second thoughts about their affair, she can handle it.
Summer will head to Crimson Lights, and Chelsea will realize she’s got a lot on her mind. She’ll tell her she’s a good listener. Summer will confide everything that’s happened in her marriage, including Kyle cheating on her with Audra. But Chelsea will tell her what she’s about to say may sound harsh. “Sometimes, when things are over, they’re just over,” she’ll advise. “So stop torturing yourself with what ifs. Live in the present, not the past.”
At the Jazz Club, Adam will get a text from Victor, asking if he’s in or out. He’ll ignore it and greet Sharon. Then Nick will show up and Sharon will smile. “Could this be a first meeting of Genoa City’s new power trio?” Sharon will ask. “I’m going to stay at Augustus, I’m going to work with my brother and I’m very interested in your merger idea,” Adam will reply. Sharon will be thrilled but Adam will say they better lay out their plans to Victor before he changes the terms, or yanks their potential entirely.
Young And The Restless Scoop – Audra Is Not To Be Trusted
Finally, the trio will head to the ranch and Victor will ask if they’ve agreed to his terms. Sharon and Nick will say yes. Then Victor will ask how Adam feels about it. “I’m on board.” He’s not as thrilled about it as Sharon and Nick, but he’ll say he’s ready to go. However, he does have one requirement. “That you give us six months, absolute free reign.” Victor will make a face and say he’ll give them three months, enough time for them to show their intentions.
Then Adam will admit that wiping out Newman Media may have had some appeal before, but now he sees a different option. He’ll say that what the three of them have planned for Augustus-Kirsten will make Newman Media redundant. Adam doesn’t intend to wipe Newman Media out, he wants to put it all together as one big happy company. “The idea does have merit,” Nick will say. And Sharon will agree.
But Victor will balk. He’ll say Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) already has a team in place. “Audra Charles is CEO of Newman Media, what’s going to happen to her?” he’ll ask. However, Adam will remind Victor he values family. “That doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy input from someone from the outside,” The Mustache will point out. But Adam will tell Victor Audra cannot be trusted. “Audra is utterly expendable.” “We shall see,” Victor will reply.
