The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Tuesday, April 18 reveals Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) will tell Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) she’s going to spend the rest of her life in prison.
Also coming up, Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) and Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell) will go over their case. Plus, Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) will pull a one eighty. And Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) and Allie Nguyen (Kelsey Wang) will return.
Y&R spoilers tease Chance and Christine will be pretty sure Diane won’t be granted bail. They’ll agree their evidence is solid, but Chance will say it’s possible Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) framed Diane. Christine will still be curious as to why Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) willingly married Stark and willed him half her money. Suddenly, Chance will get a call and find out Stark checked out of the Grand Phoenix as soon as he got his money. And no one has seen him since.
Y&R Daily Scoop – Noah And Allie Are Back In Town
At the prison, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will visit Diane. “I keep telling myself they’ve made a mistake and they’ll realize I’m not a murderer and they’ll let me go,” she’ll tell her fiancé. Jack will tell her he’s going to convince Michael to take her case. But she’ll say Lauren Fenmore (Tracey Bregman) will never forgive him if he does. But Jack will say he’s not going to let her pay for a crime she didn’t commit.
At the Abbott estate, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will tell Summer he’s hoping Michael is going to defend his mother and she’ll make a snide remark. Then Noah and Allie will walk in and Summer will embrace her brother. Noah will say Phyllis’ death doesn’t make sense. “It was murder, my mom was poisoned,” Summer will say. But Kyle will repeat his mother is innocent and he and Summer will argue. Noah will suggest to his sister they go get something to eat. “Get me outta here – now!” she’ll say to Noah after she glares at her husband.
At Society, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will be stunned that Michael is thinking about defending the woman who killed one of his best friends. “Do you really believe that Diane is a murderer?” he’ll ask her. Nikki will say she absolutely believes it. Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will arrives and sit with his wife. Then Jack will show up and tell Michael Diane’s future is in his hands. Michael will say he believes Diane is being framed but he can’t take her case. “Phyllis’ spirit would haunt me until the day I die if I help Diane and Lauren would be worse.”

But Jack will say he needs his help, Diane is being arraigned in one hour. “Without you, we are lost.” Michael will approach the bar and Victor will tell him he’s a smart man and will do the right thing. Otherwise, he will have to fire him. But Victor’s comment won’t sit right with Michael. So, he’ll show up at the prison and tell Diane he’s taking her case. And she’ll say she now feels like she might have a fighting chance.
At the arraignment, Diane will be denied bail. Then Summer will pay her a visit. “I’m glad you’re here,” she’ll tell her. “You’re probably terrified, aren’t you? You’ll be found guilty of killing my mother and you’ll spend your days missing the wedding you’ll never get to plan.”
Summer will also tell her not to worry about Kyle, because he’s spent most of his life without her. “But you’re going to be stuck behind four grey walls,” Summer will continue. “And then you will get exactly what you deserve for ripping my mother out of all of our lives.”
