The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Thursday, June 22 reveals Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) will plead with her husband.
Also coming up, Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) plays peacemaker. Plus, viewers will see memorable flashbacks of John Abbott (Jerry Douglas) as Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) discuss their feud.
Y&R spoilers tease Traci will meet with her agent about a book tour. She’ll say she could use a break from Genoa City. But Zelda Wilford (Kym Douglas) will ask what’s wrong and Traci will say her family is about to implode. “Let me guess, more drama between Ashley and Jack?” she’ll ask. Traci will tell Zelda her family is making her crazy and she’s got to fix it. “Our family is John Abbott’s legacy, and I’ve got to find a way to make Jack and Ashley focus on that.”

At the Abbott estate, Summer will try to make small talk with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) about Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez), but he’s not having it. “Kyle, can we please talk before you go to the office?” she’ll ask. She’ll say his mom has forgiven her but she’s hoping he can too. “You’ve got to know how sorry I am for everything.”
Summer will tell her husband she was afraid when Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) reached out to her. “Okay, if you were so afraid, why didn’t you come to me?” he’ll ask. “You slept in another room for weeks while I begged you to talk to me, confide in me.” Then he’ll storm out and Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) will walk into the room. “So, what do you think, have I lost him?” Summer will ask her.
Meanwhile, Ashley will tell Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) she reached out to Jabot board members to suggest Diane is a threat to the company. But Billy will tell her Diane’s not a comic book super villain, she isn’t even on the board. “I am Team Jack, all the way!” Billy will say. Jack will walk in and he’ll argue with Ashley. Then they’ll get a text about a family meeting from Traci.
Back at the Abbott estate, Traci will gather with her family. “All this bickering and tension, it is tearing this family apart, it’s gotta stop,” she’ll tell them. “Our home has become a battleground and I can’t take it anymore. If our father was here, what would he think?” Ashley will say she appreciates and understands what Traci is trying to do, but she can’t stand there and talk about forgiveness with Diane still in the room. So, Diane will offer to leave and Summer will go with her.

Then Ashley and Jack will talk about how they could always turn to their father. And Ashley will flash back to John worrying about all the animosity between her and her brother. “I am counting on you to make the first move,” John told her at the time. “Daddy hated it when his kids were fighting,” Ashley will say. Then Kyle will suggest they both turn down the volume. “I have my own issues going on with Summer,” he’ll tell Jack and Ashley.
Traci will ask Kyle about his wife. “Does Summer feel bad about what she did or does she feel bad because she got caught?” Kyle will ask her. “The problem is, we’ll never know and I’m not sure if I can live with that.” After Kyle leaves, Jack will tell Traci you can’t force forgiveness. “It’s a choice we make,” he’ll say. And a disheartened Traci will walk out.
Finally, before Billy leaves, he’ll tell Jack and Ashley he loves them both. “I want to keep respecting you, no matter who you decide to marry.” And Jack will ask Ashley if they can get past this. She’ll say she doesn’t know. Then the episode will end with flashbacks of John.
