The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Friday, September 27 reveals Sharon Newman‘s (Sharon Case) family will be relieved when she walks in the front door.
Also coming up, Sharon will sit at Cassie’s grave and recall pleasant and unpleasant memories from the past 30 years of her life.
Y&R spoilers tease Sharon will flash back to killing Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom) and covering it up. Then she’ll weep and ask herself how she’s ever going to get through this. She’ll tell her late daughter she’s always been her guiding light. “Help me to understand why I did what I did.”
She’ll tell Cassie she’s made mistakes, but nothing like this. “Is this the culmination of my life? Have I always been like this?” Then there will be a flashback with Sharon and her mother Doris Collins (Karen Hensel), who confessed she ended up in a wheelchair because she was out looking for Sharon.
Y&R Daily Scoop – Sharon Pours Milk On Top Of Nikki’s Head
“Maybe I’ve always been plagued by guilt,” Sharon will say. “Wrongs I wish I could make right.” Of course, there were a lot of good things in her life too. Things she’d never change, like meeting Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow). And viewers will see a flashback of young Sharon and Nick, and his first marriage proposal.
Then Sharon will recall how much Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) always hated her. “I’m not good enough for your sons, I’m not good enough to be a part of your family!” she once told Nikki, and proceeded to pour a jug of milk over her head.
She’ll also recall telling Nick she had a child and gave it up. He was upset, because she’d lied and told him she was a virgin. But eventually, he came to accept Cassie and even legally adopted her. “Finally, I had everything I ever wanted,” Sharon will say, wiping away tears. “I should have known it wouldn’t last.”
Then she’ll remember when Nick gave Cassie a locket with the initials CN on it. And later, Cassie begging to go out on the fateful night that she died. “I should have never, ever let you go out,” Sharon will tell her late daughter. “Losing you, it broke me, it broke Nick, our marriage fell apart.”
In another flashback, viewers will see Sharon walking around inside the Newman ranch and then torching it. “Your death, it was always hanging over me,” Sharon will say. “Now everything that has happened was because of that damned night.”
She’ll place a photo of herself, Cassie and Nick on the tombstone and remember being pregnant with Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster). Nick was sure the child Sharon was carrying was his. “Faith was the daughter you predicted we would have,” Sharon will say. “Then another miracle happened.”
Sharon will recall telling Nick she saw Cassie and even touched her. However, she thought her brain was playing tricks on her. “But then Nick found out the truth. I thought I got you back, but it wasn’t you.”
Young And The Restless Scoop – Sharon Learns That Rey Has Died
However, Nick did more digging and learned that Cassie and Mariah were twin sisters. She’ll say she wanted to be the mother to Mariah that she couldn’t be to Cassie. “But now, have I failed you both again?”
Sharon will admit that being a mom to Mariah, Faith and Noah helped her get through the grief of losing her. Viewers will also see flashbacks of Neil Winters (the late Kristoff St. John) welcoming Sharon to Jabot, when she graduated college, and when she fought cancer.
There will also be a flashback to the heartbreaking episode when Nick told her Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) had died. Sharon will remember having something inside of her that’s always kept her going. But when she started Cassidy First, she had no idea that hearing Cassie’s name every day would stir up so much in her.
“When I heard that Daniel had moved back to Genoa City I thought enough years had passed that I could handle it,” she’ll continue. But the mere sight of him caused her rage to take over. However, she stopped herself from doing something she would regret.
“That’s when Heather came in,” Sharon will tell Cassie. “We fought, and somehow she died.” The part that’s tormenting her is that she doesn’t know what happened. She’ll ask Cassie if she should turn herself in. “Confess to my crime and end this madness?” Then Sharon will thank her and say she knows what to do now.
Finally, at Sharon’s cottage, Faith will call her mom again, asking her to come home. Nick will say he’s got to go out and find Sharon. But she’ll walk in the door. Faith and Mariah will rush over and embrace her. “I’m okay,” Sharon will tell them. “Everything’s going to be all right.”
