The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Friday, August 2 reveals Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) will be tortured by her troubled mind.
Also coming up, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will plot against Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson). Plus, Lucy Romalotti (Lily Brooks O’Briant) will lie to Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster). And Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) will pitch Sharon an idea.
Y&R spoilers tease Billy will walk into Society and order a scotch, neat. Victor and Nikki will watch him. “Well, it seems the spiraling has already begun,” Nikki will comment. Then Billy will confront Victor and say he heard about the conversation he had with Devon Winters (Bryton James).

“You’re hell bent on sabotaging Abbott Chancellor, aren’t you?” Billy will ask. But Victor will tell him it’s a terrible name. “No wonder you feel the buzzards circling around you.” As for Nikki, she’ll ask Billy if his brother knows about the name change. “To put your name before Katherine’s? It is very disrespectful to her.”
Victor will tell Billy he’ll be damned if he’s going to let Katherine Chancellor’s (the late Jeanne Cooper) legacy go down the drain because of his hubris. Billy will warn him about making a move against his company. Then he’ll return to the office and tell Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) they need to have a launch party.
Meanwhile, Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will meet up with Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) at the park. She’ll tell her wife Sharon stopped taking her meds. Mariah will add that Sharon’s going to go away to get some rest. “While she’s gone, I’m going to take over at Cassidy First.”
Speaking of Sharon, she’ll tell Cameron Kirsten (Linden Ashby) he’s not real. He’ll say well obviously, since she killed him. Cameron will continue that when he was alive, he just wanted to be in her heart. “But now that I’m dead, I guess I’ll just have to settle for being in your head.”
Sharon will pick up a weight on the desk and tell him to get the hell out. There’ll be a knock on the door and Cameron will disappear. Sharon will answer the door and see Daniel standing there. She’ll invite him in and Daniel will say he knows she’s been missing Cassie a lot lately.
“Instead of trying to avoid you, I thought maybe I should do the opposite,” Daniel will say. He’ll mention that he created Princess Louisa to connect with his daughter. So, he’ll ask Sharon what she would think if he created a new game for her to connect with hers. “You think a game will help me process the grief over the loss of my daughter?” Sharon will ask.
Young And The Restless Scoop – Daniel Busts Lucy About The Party
He’ll say the game could help young people deal with complicated feelings. Sharon will tell him it sounds lovely. “Your offer is very gracious but it’s not going to heal me,” she’ll add. “I’m afraid that we’ll both always carry this pain and we each need to find our own way to deal with all of that.”
After Daniel leaves, Cameron will reappear. “Why am I thinking about you?” Sharon will ask. He’ll say she’s thinking of Cassie. Then he’ll remind her Cassidy First used to be called Kirsten Incorporated. “Just me, Cassie and good old Nick Newman. Nick doesn’t want you anymore,” Cameron will taunt. “You used to be strong and now you’re fragile – why would any man want you?”
At Crimson Lights, Lucy will fangirl over Faith again. “What are you doing tonight?” she’ll ask Faith, saying she’s going to see a band. Lucy will say she was supposed to go with her dad, but he’s busy. Faith will say she had plans with her mom. However, a little later, she’ll have a change of heart and agree to go.
Finally, Daniel will arrive and Faith will say it’s too bad he has other plans. Daniel will get a confused look on his face. And he’ll say he’s bummed about it. But as Faith leaves, she’ll realize something’s off. “Do you wanna tell me why you just had me lie to Faith?” Daniel will ask his daughter. And he’ll say he’s not okay with her ditching him. “You lied to her and told her I couldn’t make it.”
Then he’ll say he knows she didn’t go to the pool party and she shouldn’t be counting on a friendship with Faith. But she’ll ask him if he’ll please let her go to the concert with Faith. “I don’t see how you could miss it,” he’ll reply to a thrilled Lucy.
