The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Friday, January 17 reveals Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) will break the chains that bind her.
Also coming up, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will commiserate. Plus, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will sic Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) on Ian Ward (Ray Wise). And Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will agree to help kill Jordan (Colleen Zenk).
Y&R spoilers tease Victor will tell Adam he’d be the perfect man to help him get rid of Ian. “Because I colluded with him back in the day, you know I’m ashamed of that,” Adam will reply. But Victor will tell him it’s all water under the bridge.

He’ll direct Adam to use Newman Media to go after the villain. “I want you to smear him to the point where he’s ashamed to be seen in public.” So, Adam will say that whatever Victor needs, he can count on him. Then he’ll share good news with his father, Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) has agreed to move to the ranch.
At the ranch, Nikki will tell Victoria that Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) is right about Jordan. “Her only motivation is revenge, she won’t stop until we’re dead, so maybe we stop her first.” But Victoria will say they don’t have to stoop to Jordan’s level of evil.
Claire will say Jordan’s going to come after the family again and again. “I’ll be damned if I let that woman anywhere near my granddaughter, if I have to put a stake through her heart myself,” Nikki will tell Victoria.
But Victoria will say if they’re caught they could spend years in prison. “I’m willing to take that risk,” Claire will reply. “So am I,” Nikki will add. Victoria will tell Claire she won’t let her do it. “What if Jordan catches on?” she’ll ask.
Claire will say she’ll tell Jordan her new life was all part of a grand scheme to stick it to the Newmans. Victoria will suggest they take this to Victor or Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck). But Claire will refuse. “Don’t you see, I put you through so much, this is my redemption for the horror I put you through.”
So, Nikki will say if they do this they will never speak of it again. Then Victor will walk in the door. “What are the three of you scheming?” he’ll ask. Victoria will lie and say they were sharing more family stories with Claire.
Young And The Restless Scoop – Mariah Has Overwhelming Guilt
“Any news about Sharon?” Claire will ask. And Victor will say they have video footage of who took her, but he won’t show it to them. Then the three ladies will all agree they need to end Jordan for good.
Meanwhile, Nick will arrive at the cottage. He’ll tell Mariah he saw surveillance footage of Sharon being kidnapped. “Somebody did this, somebody took her?” she’ll ask frantically. Nick will say they have to find Sharon and bring her home.
Then Nick will come up with an idea. If they check the prison records where Ian was chaplain, perhaps they can find out who his accomplice is. He’ll suggest that Mariah may recognize a name. So, Nick will call Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) and the cop will agree to compile the names.
Mariah will say she hopes Ian is innocent. “If Ian is guilty, he’s someone from my past, and he’s here because of me,” she’ll tell Nick. “That guilt is overwhelming, it’s unbearable.” But Nick will tell her Ian’s hatred for the Newmans goes back a long time. “This is not on you, you were a victim.”
Finally, Sharon will continue whacking at the chain. She’ll take a break and a sip of water. Then she’ll see double and she’ll realize the water is drugged with PCP. But Sharon will tell herself she can do it. “Noah, Mariah, Faith,” she’ll repeat. She’ll press the metal bar down hard onto the lock and it’ll snap open.
An elated Sharon will get up but she’ll be dizzy. And she’ll attempt try to walk out of there. “Just a few more steps,” she’ll tell herself. Unfortunately, her head will be spinning and she’ll pass out. But will Sharon wake up before Jordan comes back?
