The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Wednesday, January 4 suggests Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will not accept her daughter’s apology.
Also coming up, Summer will tell Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) she’s been bottling up her feelings. Plus, Abby Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) will make love. And Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) will once again walk in on Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters).
Y&R spoilers tease Abby will bring Dominic (River and Rainn Ware) over to Devon’s place, for a visit with Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John). But she’ll ask Devon if she can stay. Tucker will arrive and he’ll spend time with Dom. Then he’ll thank Abby for letting him hang out with his grandson. Devon will head upstairs to put Dom to bed, leaving Abby alone with his father.
Y&R Daily Scoop – Devon Asks Abby To Stay The Night
Tucker will say he knows it’s difficult for her to be around him, but he would appreciate it if she’d remain neutral towards him. “After all, you and Devon are going to be in each other’s lives forever.” Abby will ask him what that’s supposed to mean and he’ll say because of Dom. Then Devon will come downstairs and Tucker will leave. “When we’re with each other it just feels uncomplicated and easy,” Abby will admit to him. He’ll say he feels the same way and they’ll kiss. Then Devon will ask her to stay the night and they’ll get hot and heavy.
Over at the Abbott estate, Diane will promise Jack that her plan is going to work. She’ll say she should get back to her hotel but he’ll try to convince her to stay at the house. “No Jack, that won’t work,” she’ll reply. “We have to do this my way.” Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will walk in the room and agree with Jack, but Diane will insist. After she leaves, Kyle will tell his father that Summer went to do damage control with her mother. And Jack will badmouth Phyllis.
Speaking of Phyllis, Ashley will meet up with her at the Glam Club. Phyllis will tell Ashley Diane is back in town. She’ll say she’s upset that Summer let everyone in Genoa City think she was the one who chased Diane out of town. When meanwhile, she got an Abbott escort up to their cabin. Ashley will say Jack did the same to her.
Young And The Restless Scoop – Daniel Takes Phyllis’ Side
Summer will show up and tell Phyllis she needs to speak with her and Ashley will take her leave. “Mom I am so sorry,” she’ll say. “I’ve just been so worried about Harrison and Kyle.” Phyllis will tell Summer she feels like she doesn’t value her. She’ll admit she’s made mistakes but she’d move mountains and walk through fire for Summer. “But you keep on believing Diane over me,” Phyllis will say. “I don’t know how to forgive that anymore.” Daniel will arrive and Phyllis will tell Summer she can’t talk about it anymore and she’ll storm off.
Daniel will ask his sister what he just witnessed and she’ll say they were arguing about Diane. She’ll tell him Diane was hiding out at the Abbott cabin and Phyllis was mad that she didn’t tell her. But Daniel will take Phyllis’ side. Then Summer will admit she realizes Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) would have found Diane eventually. “How do I tell my husband that the mother he is so grateful to have back in his life has brought nothing but nonstop chaos and misery to our doorstep?” she’ll ask. “I feel like I’m holding my breath 24/7.”
Finally, Diane will return to the Abbott estate to tell Jack she’s settled in at the Grand Phoenix. “Thank you for everything,” she’ll say, and kiss him on the cheek. Then Ashley will walk in. “Come on!” she’ll exclaim. “I mean really, what is going on?”
