The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Wednesday, February 9 suggests Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) believes Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) is up to no good.
Also coming up, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will ask Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) for advice and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will be taken aback. Plus, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will tease Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope).
Y&R spoilers tease Lily will spot Nikki sitting alone at Society. She’ll approach her and ask if she can pick her brain. Nikki says sure. Lily will tell her she wishes she could call Katherine Chancellor (the late Jeanne Cooper). She has an image of her as a tough business woman, barking orders, etc. Nikki will say she never set out to be a business woman, she became one over time. “But she liked to have fun and that would be her advice for you,” Nikki will say. “Have fun.”
Y&R Daily Scoop – Sally Is Willing To Take Any Position
At Crimson Lights, Billy will run into Sally, who will congratulate him on his new job. He’ll say he heard Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) is scrapping Newman Fashion. So, he figures she’s out of a job. Sally will say Adam is keeping her on and he’ll assume she’s Adam’s new assistant. But Sally will surprise him by saying he’s looking at the new COO of Newman Media. “How about that Billy, we have the same job,” she’ll say, grinning.
Meanwhile, Adam will appear at Newman Locke. He’s looking for his sister but will find Ashland there. Ashland will warn him he’s no longer a major decision maker. “Adam, we own the company,” he’ll say. “We will be charting its course and giving you direction, not the other way around.” Then he’ll suggest that if Adam doesn’t like it, he should move on.
Victoria will arrive and Adam will tell her he’s hired Sally as his COO. He’ll ask if he has the autonomy to hire who he wants. Victoria will say sure, she’s fine with it. Then Ashland will get a call from Victor, summoning him to the ranch. Adam will head to Newman Media and pretend his meeting with Victoria didn’t go well. Sally will tell him she’d be more than willing to take any position. She just wants to stay. “I’m afraid that won’t be possible because you are going to be helping me run a major media conglomerate,” Adam will say, beaming.
Young And The Restless Scoop – Ashland’s Answers Were Too Polished
Back at the ranch, Victor will tell Nikki he found out Ashland has been using the Peruvian clinic as a tax dodge. Ashland will arrive and Victor will say he’s curious. “I find it absolutely miraculous that you found this clinic just in the nick of time.” Ashland will say there was more to it than that. He’ll tell Victor he knew about the clinic because he was one of its benefactors. “Victoria never told me about this,” Victor will say. Ashland will tell him she doesn’t know. When Nikki returns to the room, Victor will tell Nikki something is off, Ashland’s answers were too polished.
Finally, an exasperated Ashland will pull off his tie, as he sits at Society’s bar and orders a scotch. He’ll get a phone call and find out an American is asking questions about him at the clinic. Ashland will ask if it’s a reporter or a journalist, but he won’t get an answer. “No, no. This doesn’t change anything,” he’ll say to the person on the other end. “Everything stays the same. We stick to the plan.”
