The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Wednesday, August 3 suggests Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will get angry when Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) suggests he needs media training.
Also coming up, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will learn the truth about Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) confrontation with Ashland Locke (Robert Newman). Plus, Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) presses Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) for answers.
Y&R spoilers tease Summer and Phyllis will meet up for a drink at the Dive Bar. Summer will ask her mom about what happened with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) after Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) walked away at the park. But Phyllis won’t want to discuss it. Instead, she’ll ask about working at Marchetti. “There’s a lot going on and I don’t think Kyle would be receptive to it,” Summer will reply. “Give it time.”
Y&R Daily Scoop – Sally Wants To Out Scoop Them All
Meanwhile, Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) will complain about all the reporters in town trying to get the scoop on Ashland’s death. But she’ll say at least none of them know Nick punched Locke before he died. Sally will be stunned and Chloe will say it got really heated between Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Ashland before Nick stepped in. Sally will feel like they should put the information out there. Then she’ll send a text. “Need to talk re Locke story and fight at Victoria’s house.”
At Chancellor Park, Nick will lean on Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case). He still blames himself for what happened to Ashland but Sharon will remind him they don’t yet know how he really died. “The truth will come out, it always does,” Nick will say. “I just can’t shake this feeling that dad is up to his old tricks.” Then he’ll get a text from Sally and head to Newman Media.
When he arrives, Sally will tell him what she found out and ask Nick how he figures into all of it. He’ll say the reason he punched Ashland was because he was getting violent with Victoria. Sally will point out if they don’t publish it, someone else will. “We know what really happened so we can out scoop them all.” Nick will talk about the hell Ashland put his sister through and he believes if the information comes out her torture will continue. “The story is in your hands now Sally,” Nick will say. “What are you going to do with it?”
Young And The Restless Scoop – Did Devon Pull Nate In Too Fast?
Finally, Nate will already be on edge when he meets up with Devon. “I’ve got reporters hounding me about Ashland Locke,” he’ll say. Devon will ask what’s going on with the double booking. Nate will say it’s being handled. But Devon will ask him what he plans to do to make sure it never happens again. “I didn’t realize I was being micromanaged,” Nate will say. Devon will ask why he’s taking it personally. “I think you’re second guessing this career change.” Nate will assure him he’s fine with the change. But when Devon suggests Nate could benefit from media training, he’ll walk out.
When Devon returns to the office, Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) will ask how it went with Nate. Devon will tell her he accused him of micromanaging him. “Will the dynamic between you two ever be fixed?” she’ll ask. He’ll say he doesn’t know. “I just think I may have pulled Nate into this business world too fast for his own good.”
