The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Tuesday, February 21 suggests a standalone episode dedicated to Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) anticipation of the paternity results.
Y&R spoilers tease Sally will tell Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) she’s anxious about the paternity results. But Nick will tell her it’s a good thing. At least she’ll finally have some answers.
Then Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will arrive and she’ll have great news for Nick. Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter’s (Cait Fairbanks) surrogate has gone into labor (offscreen of course), for real this time. Nick will tell Sharon he’s thrilled for them and for her.
Y&R Daily Scoop – Nick Gets Angry With His Brother
Sally and Nick will head to her hotel room and as she opens the email from the clinic, he’ll tell her to close her eyes and take a deep breath. The lighting will change, making it pretty obvious Sally’s having a daydream. Then she’ll look down at her phone. “There is zero possibility that Nick Newman is the father.” She’ll call Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and he’ll be surprised to see Nick there when he arrives.
“I’m pregnant,” Sally will say. Adam will ask Nick if he wanted to brag to him that he’d knocked up his ex. “Nick’s not the father,” Sally will blurt out. “You are.” The two brothers will argue and Sally will say she needs some air and she’ll ask Adam to join her. They’ll arrive at the park and Adam will ask if she knows if it’s a boy or a girl. But Sally will say she doesn’t know yet. He’ll talk about how excited Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) is going to be. Then he’ll once again ask Sally to marry him.
But Sally will take off and end up at Society. Adam will chase her there. “I’ve never loved anyone the way that I love you,” he’ll say. “This feels like destiny, like our destiny. That night that I thought was the end, it was just the beginning.” Once again, Sally will run away, this time to Crimson Lights. She’ll embrace Nick and Adam will walk in. He’ll warn her the Newmans will take her baby and give it to his brother. Then Nick will punch Adam and all the scenes will rewind back to Sally sitting with her phone, getting ready to open the paternity results.
Young And The Restless Scoop – Baby Loved No Matter What
Next, Sally will imagine what would happen if the baby was Nick’s. They’ll go to Society and see Adam and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) there. Sally will tell Adam she and Nick are having a baby. “You’ve taken everything from me and now you’ve made sure that your hold over her will last a lifetime,” he’ll say to Nick. Adam will also ask Sally if Nick’s ever told her he loved her. “Congratulations young lady,” Victor will add. “You came to town with nothing and now you’ve got the big prize. The eldest Newman boy.”
At Crimson Lights, they’ll tell Sharon. Then Sally will head to the patio to call her grams. But she’ll walk back inside just as Sharon asks Nick if he loves Sally. He’ll say he doesn’t. “Do we have what it takes to last?” he’ll add. “Probably not.” Then we’ll get another rewind.
Finally, back to reality, Nick will tell Sally her baby will be loved and accepted, no matter what the test result says. Then Sally will log into her account. But is the father Adam, or Nick? Unfortunately, after dedicating an entire hour to it, viewers still won’t find out.
