The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Friday, September 2 suggests Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will take glee in Talia Morgan’s (Natalie Morales) story on Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters).
Also coming up, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will tell Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) to fire Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope). Plus, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will make a heartfelt apology. And Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) will be down in the dumps.
Y&R spoilers tease Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) will prepare to leave for the University of Michigan. Nick and Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) are taking her and Adam will show up. Faith will grin and tell him his kidney is going to university. He’ll congratulate her. Then Adam will take Sharon aside and tell her he too is starting a new chapter, working with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) at Jabot. He’ll mention he’s also dropped his vendetta against Victor. Sharon will say she’s happy to hear it and suspects Sally will be as well.

Then Sally will walk in and Adam will ask to speak to her on the patio. He’ll tell her he got a job working with Jack at Jabot. Then he’ll say Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) asked him to make it clear they were over. Sally will ask if that’s why he wanted to speak to her. “No Sally,” he’ll reply. “I wanted to say that I’m sorry. I was a cruel jerk.” He didn’t want her to be collateral damage in the war on his family. “But now, there is no war.” Adam will tell her his apology is coming from his heart. “Is there any way that you can forgive me?
Meanwhile, Victor will summon Nick to the ranch. He’ll say he’s concerned about Sally. He had tasked her with bringing Adam back and she fell short. “Come on dad, that was never gonna happen,” Nick will tell him. But Victor will say he still thinks Sally should have convinced Adam to stay at Newman Media. “Do you really think Sally Spectra is able to run a company?” Victor will ask. Then he’ll bring up what she did to Summer Newman (Allison Lanier). “I don’t trust her, I think you should fire her.”
Back at Crimson Lights, Mariah and Tessa will walk in with sour faces and Sharon will ask them what’s wrong. “We got turned down by a private adoption attorney,” Mariah will say. They were open about their backgrounds. So, the attorney told them she didn’t think anyone would want to give their child up to people with criminal records. Sharon will say it’s outrageous and she hopes they won’t give up. She’ll suggest they find another advocate.
Young And The Restless Scoop – Jack Tells Kyle He’s Hired Adam
At Jabot, Jack will tell Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) he’s hired Adam. Kyle will say it’s a recipe for disaster but Jack will tell him to stay positive. Kyle will admit things are going well and he’ll ask Jack to help him plan another wedding to Summer . But this time it’ll take place at the Abbott estate. Diane will overhear and will tell Kyle she’s “over the moon” that she’ll get to be there. Then Phyllis and Summer will walk in.
Finally, Phyllis will ask Diane if she’s seen Talia’s article. She’ll explain that the journalist dropped the Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) story. Instead, she decided to focus on the most despised woman in Genoa City. It’s entitled: The Long And Winding Road Of Diane Jenkins. Back From The Dead. Later, Phyllis will see Diane reading it. “Juicy, isn’t it?” she’ll say. “Apparently, it’s not just this article. This is the first of a series of articles on you.”
