The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Monday, July 22 reveals Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will team up, hoping to find answers.
Also coming up, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will argue with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) about Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters). Plus, Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will be wracked with guilt. And Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) will give Lucy Romalotti (Lily Brooks O’Briant) the brush off.
Y&R spoilers tease Lucy will say tell her dad she got a new swimsuit to hang out with Faith and her friends tonight. Then Faith will walk into the coffee shop with her friend Miriam (Isabella Dake). So, Lucy will ask what time they’re going to the pool. “I know I said that you could tag along with us, but I’m afraid it’s not going to work out,” Faith will reply.

She’ll say there’s a headcount policy plus there’s going to be alcohol there. Lucy will be disappointed but will say she understands. When she rejoins her father, he’ll ask if everything’s all right. And Lucy will lie and say everything’s fine and she’s looking forward to the party.
At Society, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will tell Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom) she’s worried about her son. Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) has lost everything, which caused him to spiral before. “He was a very different man then than he is now,” Heather will tell her. But Phyllis will ask if it happens again will she stick it out with him or leave him?
Heather will say she did everything she could think of to try to make it work. “The reason I ended up leaving was because of Lucy.” Then Lucy and Daniel will show up. But Lucy will say she has to go to the party. Daniel and Heather will remind her not to drink or take any substances.
At the GCAC, Nikki Jack will fill Nikki in about Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) being angry with Diane. “Wasn’t it her idea to fire Kyle?” Nikki will ask. “I just think it’s interesting that everything Diane wanted when she came back to town, she now has.” Jack will say he’s not going to let Nikki paint Diane that way. “I would like to think one of my dearest friends could look at her as something other than a gold digger,” Jack will tell Nikki and storm off.
At the park, Billy will ask Sally what’s weighing on her and she’ll admit she’s worried about Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). “I was with Chelsea earlier and she was very upset,” Billy will say and add that Chelsea told him she couldn’t do it anymore, then backtracked. “Maybe they both don’t want us to really know what happened in Baltimore.”
Billy will say Chelsea and Adam have been on edge since they returned. And he’ll imply that maybe Adam did something to Chelsea. But Sally will stick up for him. “Whatever it is, we gotta find out the truth, that’s the only way we can truly be there for him,” Billy will tell her.
Young And The Restless Scoop – Sally Asks Adam What’s Wrong
Meanwhile, Chelsea will head to Newman Media to see Adam. She’ll tell him she almost confessed to Billy when he tracked her down at the park. She thought maybe if she just confessed, the stress would go away. “Have you considered how it could completely destroy everything for both of us?” Adam will ask.
But Chelsea will say what they did was so wrong. She’ll add that everyone makes mistakes, including Billy, and maybe he’d understand. However, Adam will tell her the secret coming out could cause a setback for their son. “What if he finds out that both our relationships blew up because of him? He would blame himself.”
Chelsea will head to Crimson Lights and won’t be happy when Sally walks in. Sally will sit down and ask Chelsea if something bad happened in Baltimore. “Something that the two of you haven’t told Billy and me?” She’ll ask if Adam did something to upset her. “No, he’s been very supportive, I’m fine,” Chelsea will reply, and then take off as fast as she can.
Finally, Billy will show up at Newman Media. He’ll say something’s been up with Chelsea since Baltimore and he wants Adam to tell him what it is. Billy will say Chelsea is blaming herself, saying she made mistakes. So, he’ll ask if Adam did something to her.
“Did you guys fight when things got scary with Connor? Did you do something to upset her?” Then Adam will say he did get angry with Chelsea and he lashed out. “I said some things to her that I regret,” he’ll lie. “But yes, it did create a rift between us.”
Billy will thank Adam for being honest with him. After he leaves, Adam will flash back to having sex with Chelsea. Then Sally will walk in. “What is it Adam?” she’ll ask. “What’s wrong?”
