The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Monday, April 17 reveals Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will gain the upper hand on Jeremy Stark (James Hyde).
Also coming up, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will be desperate to find an attorney. Plus, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will worry about his marriage. And Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will be furious with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman).
Y&R spoilers tease Victor and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will walk into Crimson Lights, only to see Adam bonding with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope). “I’m surprised to see you here son,” Victor will say. “Especially with that lady.” Adam will tell him they ran into each other. Sally will leave with Nick and Victor will tell Adam he’s making a terrible mistake. “Are you aware that she is involved with your brother?” he’ll remind him. “You need to come to terms with that and move on.”

But Adam will push back. “Sally and I, we’re bonded for life,” he’ll say. Then he’ll realize Victor doesn’t know. “Sally’s having my baby and I’m still in love with her,” Adam will tell his father. Victor will ask why Sally hasn’t told Nick. However, Adam will reply that Nick knows. “Man oh man, what the hell are you two doing?” Victor will ask.
Meanwhile, Kyle will tell Jack his wife thinks his mother is guilty of murder. But Jack will say when the truth comes out, Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) will see that Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) is innocent, just like they do. Then Jack will head to Society and he’ll call Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc). He’ll tell him he’s the last chance Diane has and he’ll beg him to represent her.
At the Jazz Club, Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will ask Summer why she’s there. “I owe my mom an enormous debt,” she’ll say. “I should have believed her and that’s a mistake I’m going to regret for the rest of my life.” He’ll offer to drive her home but an angry Kyle will walk in. “You already put my mom in jail,” he’ll say to Chance. “Stay away from my wife or I will make you pay.”
At the motel, Stark will tell Phyllis she’s not going to blow it for him. “If I have a choice of going back to prison, or killing you, that’s not a choice at all.” Phyllis will say she’ll tell everyone it was all her and she’ll keep his name out of it. “No, we are moving on with our plan, whether you like it or not,” he’ll reply. “I was wrong to do this, my children don’t hate me, I can’t put them through this,” a regretful Phyllis will say.

She’ll tell Stark every time she looks in the mirror she’s going to see Diane. “This is what she did and she let her son suffer for years and years thinking she was dead.” Stark will tell her she’ll face charges too and will end up locked up. So, Phyllis will admit he’s right. But he won’t trust her and he’ll say he’s coming with her, to make sure she doesn’t try to return home. He’ll also try to kiss her. “We’re husband and wife now, you belong to me,” he’ll say.
However, Phyllis will push him and try to escape. But Stark will block the door. “I will put you in a shallow grave if I have to,” he’ll say. “You’re already dead, no one’s going to look for your body.” Then he’ll pick up a pair of scissors and Phyllis will tell him he doesn’t have to do this. She’ll run into the bathroom and he’ll follow her.
Finally, viewers will see a body lying on the floor of the motel room, wrapped in a shower curtain. Then Phyllis will walk out of the bathroom, covered in blood. She’ll wipe off her bloodied hands and the scissors and then drag Stark’s body out of the motel room.
