The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Monday, July 31 reveals Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will tell Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) she needs his help.
Also coming up, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will have a heated conversation with his brother. Plus, Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) and Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) will give their mom a pep talk. And Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will offer Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) a job.
Y&R spoilers tease Mariah will be surprised to learn that Sharon is working with Adam and Nick. She’ll say each of them bring unique skills to the table. “I feel confident that we will accomplish great and positive things.” Then Sharon will have a question for her daughter. “Would you ever consider leaving Jabot to come work with your mother?” And a surprised Mariah will say maybe she would.

Sharon will ask Mariah if she’s happy at Jabot. And she’ll admit things aren’t exactly going great. Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) is gone and there’s a lot of turmoil there. However, she’ll say she wouldn’t want to leave Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) in the lurch. Still, she’ll tell her mom she’ll consider the offer. After Sharon leaves, Mariah will ask Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) what she thinks. “You’re gonna have to trust your judgement,” she’ll reply. “What do you think will give you the best chance at success and happiness?”
Meanwhile, Phyllis will tell her kids that Adam offered her a position and they’ll be skeptical. Both will tell her if money’s a problem, they can help with that. But Phyllis will balk. “I want to work, be busy, a productive member of the community.” Summer will point out that Adam won’t help her polish her reputation.
“I can handle Adam,” Phyllis will say. But there’s something else she’s worried about. “His partners are Nick and Sharon.” Phyllis will say she’s afraid Nick is furious with her. However, Summer will tell her he’ll get over it. Then Daniel will have a sudden change of heart and say he thinks she should take the job. And Summer will agree with him.
At Society, Adam will tell Nick their father informed him he’s calling the shots now. “Did you piss him off again?” Nick will ask. “You didn’t just ruin things for yourself, you ruined them for me and Sharon too. Good job.” But Adam will once again harp on about Newman Media being redundant. So, he’ll suggest they call Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) bluff.
Young And The Restless Scoop – Nick Infuriated With Adam
“This Newman Media foolishness is holding everything up,” Nick will reply. He’ll tell Adam to forget about it – they should make a splash and get everybody talking. “Dad will see that his faith in us was justified.” Nick also wants to change the name from Audustus. He’ll tell Adam this is their chance to break free, and they can both benefit from that.
Then Sharon will arrive and she’ll say they should be looking at this company as a reinvention. “You two knew what you were getting was me,” Adam will reply. “Do you really think it’ll be possible for me to change?” Sheepishly, he’ll admit he made a move without consulting them. “I offered Phyllis a job, head of IT.” Nick will be furious. He’ll remind Adam Phyllis broke Summer’s heart, ruined her marriage and will probably serve a life sentence for murder. “What were you thinking?” he’ll ask.
Finally, Adam’s phone will ring. “Oh, speak of the devil,” he’ll say when he sees who’s calling. “Phyllis.” In her hotel suite, Phyllis will tell Adam she’s decided to accept his job offer. “But listen, I’m gonna need your help with something first.”
